u r so funny my friend. What u dont know about export goods is that they have export quality. What it will cost Tanzania is test the quality of products coming in from Nigeria and once it meets up with their own quality demand it will be allowed in. The article is not a lie cos i v been to many of the countries named if not in all of them. Nigeria produced goods sell in allof them. Come to think of it. If Nigeria‘s image is as bad as u claim and our products nothing to write home about; tell me what you are doing in Niaraland forum which is another product Nigeria has exported write into your bedroom and your brain.
A. You clearly have no clue about COMESA-EAC-SADC import rules. We have deliberate barriers to prevent importation of manufactured goods from outside our trading blocs.Nigeria is in neither of these trading blocs and as such would find it extremely hard to export anything into them.Particularly to the EAC.We charge 25-100%duty on manufactured consumer goods from outside the EAC-SADC-COMESA.How pray tell, would Nigerian goods enter Kenyan goods havev issues entering. And Kenya and TZ are in the EAC.S.A the same and TZ is in SADC and the goods are moving duty free!!!. Tanzania does not care for quality. It cares for its Nyerere era laws that protect its infantile industries from any competition from ANY country . If a Nigerian product was shipped to Dar,it would be let in.After paying 75% duty making it uncompetitive asgainst Duty free S.A and E.A.C products.
Nairaland is not a good.

Gerald i am with you there, this article surprised me too. In SA chances are very slim if not none for a made in Nigeria product to see the light of day. Perhaps in Nam but I am also too sceptical about this. That is why we come to Nairaland to clear the air because most Nairalanders will start believing their own fantasies.
