This is rather late. The opening match was played during the weekend and already, we have teams complaining about poor organisation by the host. Perpetua Nkwocha says Nigeria's hotel is near a nudist club. Biggest news was that never-ending defending champions; Nigeria's Falcons held the Ghanaian ladies to a 1-1 draw in their openeing group fixture. Here's a thread for the competition. |

Nigeria played a draw against Tunisia 0-0 I don't see them winning this time around, seems they are not really prepared or haven't acclimatise to the place even though its only some hours away from nigeria there's no real pattern in their game just boot and follow Perpetua Nkwocha says Nigeria's hotel is near a nudist club.trust nigerian players/athletes to always complain- i think they spend more time complaining than actually training |

eh ya! must we always lose to host countries. the falcons did nothing to intimidate their opponents like in past years. when i didnt see a harvest of goal by them, i knew they may not win this one. |

AYOBA Banyana into AWC final Posted: 2008-11-26 07:20 Banyana Banyana are into the final of the African Women’s Championships after beating Cameroon 3-0 in Malabo Stadium yesterday. Coach Augustine Makalakane’s squad will face hosts Equatorial Guinea in the final on Saturday, at the same venue. Banyana reached the semifinal by beating Tunisia 2-1, Ghana 1-0 and losing 2-1 to Nigeria’s Super Falcons to top Group A. The Super Falcons, reigning champions, lost 1-0 to hosts Equatorial Guinea in the other semifinal yesterday and will now take on Cameroon in the 3rd place play-off. The Nigerians, who have won every previous edition of this tournament, have struggled throughout this year’s event and only scraped into the semis with their victory over Banyana in the last match of the group stages |

Isn't it about time that we lost? The whole procession is becoming BORING with Nigeria winning every time. Thank God we lost. This will inspire us to regain our trophy back next time, rather than take it for granted as we seemed to have done this time. |

it is good as we lost in the semi final. it will make us (if we will learn) to take every competion serious unlike our usual fire brigade approach. all african teams are catching up on us. we lost to benin in the u-17. can you imagine that? |

WE ARE A VERY SELFISH NATION, WINING IT EVERYTIME IS GETTING MONOTONOUS AND UNEXCITING. PLS LETS ALLOW ANOTHER COUNTRY TO WIN IT SINCE 1998WITH A DOMINANCE THAT WAS DATED BACK TO 1991 AD. THE NEW QUEEN OF AFRICA IS E.GUIBEA.THEY DEFEATED S.AFRICA BY 2 GOALS TO 1. THIS IS GOODFOR AFRICAB FEMALE FUTBOL |
