Rapsainot:
Muri will go back into farming (increasing the production of cassava in my village)

Idoyan, segun, mufu will go back to their abandoned profession "barbing" (competition among barbers in my village yet decreasing the cost of service)

The aim of been an Okada rider after WASSCE will be vanished from the hearts of those idi - ito high school boys....(they'll be focused and ll face their books wella)

I SUPPORT THIS WITH ALL MY SOUL, WE WANT YOUNG PROFESORS NOT OKADA RIDERS

And you will be ready to open your eyes while asleep in the night.

I'm still wondering where our policy makers think through, mouth, belly or anus? How can a reasonable leader think of such when you've not made provisions for other means of transportation or employment for the current okada riders. embarassed lipsrsealed

unemployment is not and is never the reason why we should allow okada to continue using the highway at randomly without cushion.

On point. Private use is not a problem. But commercial use is wrong.

Motorcycles were made to ease movement of one or two people and not be the backbone of public transport.

the govt has failed to provide a better backbone. So people gotta improvise.

It is not a hidden fact now that the FG wants to place a ban on motorcycles, popularly known as Okada in the country. Now my question is, considering the fact that many people will be jobless, crime rate will escalate, etc. Is the ban really necessary?

There is always an alternative. Most times we don't see them till we loss what we have at present. Okada has been ban in Abia, Akwa-ibom, Imo states etc for over 2 to 3 years. What did the riders did? they turned to keke.

Infact, one of the greatest achievement of Abia State govt. is the banning of Okada. He has saved tens of thousands of live by banning okada in Abia. I know what am saying.

But the real fact is, the okada will be banned in major and busy roads.

Then isnt it a shame on the part of the government that citizens in fighting for survival cos of high unemployment rate in the country are now providing such percentage of transportation?.... Before they (govt) send this poor citizens back to real poverty dey shud make provisions for their ACTIONS!

Okadas are annoying! It is time to get rid of them as they are constituting nuisance to the nation. I think the ban should come with providing alternative means of jobs for the riders. That has to come in the form of construction works which will develop the country.

I don't know why the government is not focus on estates, roads, bridges, industry, etc construction activities which can provide job for the masses and at the same time develop the nation infrastructure. Jeez! I wish I can talk sense into the government of Nigeria.

If y'all been to the north & i mean core north here, you would now that its impossible to ban Okada/Achaba nation wide.

Most Northern Governors wont even think it

That's true, as most core northeners rely on this means. Fir instance, Bida.
