People often judge you by the way you look. So it is very important to pick the right outfit for the job interview. Because you should make a good first impression.
Of course it is you, not your clothes who are applying for a job. But if your dress is inappropriate it can damage your chances. It makes sense to dress the best for the interview, regardless of the dress code of the company.
Consider the requirements for your position. Are you going to be an extrovert or reserved personality, creative or administrative.
You can easily ask the recruiter about the dress code within the company. Here are some tips for men and women on how to look their best on the job interview:
Women:
1. Conservative suit of solid colours. Try some nice blouse or shirt. But avoid showing cleavage and wearing see-through shirts.
2. It is better to pick some moderate shoes
3. Natural (or mild) makeup, be careful with perfume as well, nails should be manicured, but try not to overdose as well.
Men:
1. Moderate conservative suit of solid colours. Shirt should be with a long sleeves. Try some conservative tie, dark socks and classic shoes. Avoid shorts at all costs!
2. Jewelry should be very limited.
3. Your hair should look neat, nails – carefully trimmed
Some general tips:
1. Hygiene is a must. So be as clean as possible. Your skin should look clean and fresh. Don’t forget about antiperspirants if you have some troubles with sweating.
2. Be well-groomed. Your hair should be clean, check your shoulders for dandruff, if you are wearing a dark suit.
3. Some things you shouldn’t take with you: too much piercing (even you have a lot of it – wear just a pair of earrings), chewing gum, cup of coffee or a can of soda, cover tattoos and don’t forget to turn your cell phone into the silent mode!
Remember, your image in a job interview can help to send the right message to the recruiter about your personality and abilities. Goodluck.

Don't wear high pencil heels because you never can tell if the venue is on the 10th floor without lift
