From the question, perimeter is 30m
P = 2(l + b) = 30
l + b = 15;

Therefore ;
Area = lb = (15-b)b
A = 15b - b²
dA/db = 15 - 2b
For area to be max, dA/db = 0
Therefore, 15 = 2b
b = 7.5
Sub. 7.5 for b in (i)
l = 15 - 7.5
l = 7.5
Therefore at max,
Area, lb = 7.5*7.5 = 56.25m^2

Ah! Possible bi ti bawo? I believe you know that perimeter is the sum of all the sides of a shape. So for a rectangle,
L + B + L + B = P (Perimeter)
2L + 2B = P
2(L + B) = P
L + B = P/2
Therefore, if perimeter of the rectangle is 30, then
L + B = 30/2 = 15
And B = 15 - L.

If you insist otherwise, try out this simple calculation.
If the length of a rectangle is x and breadth is 30 - x, calculate the perimeter of the rectangle.
See if you'll get 30 as your perimeter or not.

Hard as in? UI cutoff for Pharmacy and Nursing last year, were 68 & 67 respectively...

U don't know wat 2 do? There is one thing you need to do,read and read as if your life depend on it...a situation where 4000+ picked nursing before jamb and only 50 will be admitted...if u've been idle b4 I think it's time to dust your books and get busy.

Also whether the postutme is simple or not depend on how much concept u've been able to store in ur skull.
