There was great fun and entertainment in Anthony Village, Lagos, as the General Manager of Metro 97.7 FM, Lagos, Cordelia Okpei, was hosted to a treat by management and staff of MarketingMix, high flying Lagos PR, brand and product development consultancy and the majestic Prince of Anthony Hotel, an arm of the Hotel 1960 Group, for her selfless service to the broadcast industry.
Okpei was elated by the warm reception given to her by the organizations led by Akin Adeoya, the CEO of Marketing Mix and Hotel 1960 Group. “I feel happy being celebrated today for my industriousness in the broadcast Industry by one of the best PR agencies in this country …when it comes to perception management , product development and building a strong brand, MarketingMix is an agency to reckon with. It is a great privilege to be in your midst.”
While appreciating friends and well-wishers who also came to celebrate with her, Okpei commended the hotel for making her feel at home. “I really feel I am at home. The reception from the hotel was amazing as I never had any dull moment and treated like a queen bee.”

Cordelia Okpei was born in Delta State. She had her education in Benin City where she graduated from the University of Benin with a degree in English and Literature in 1994.
Prior to her graduation, she had become a broadcaster in 1989 when she hosted a program called ‘From Me to You’ after many years of appearing as a participant in other programs from the tender age of ten in the then Bendel Broadcasting Service.
After National Youth Service, Cordelia worked with the Bendel Broadcasting Service, now Edo Broadcasting Service, Radio and TV till 1998 when she relocated to Lagos to join the then RN2 (Radio Nigeria 2), now Metro FM as an On Air Presenter.
Okpei, a presentation and production trainer, content developer, mentor, master of ceremonies and motivational speaker has received various awards and nominations including the Nigeria Media Merit Award, NMMA, DAME Presenter of the year 2005 and SES Media award for the Radio personality of the year 2010, DAME Reporter of the year 2010, ‘Ever Green Award’ from the Nigeria Broadcasters’ Merit Awards, the ‘Best Radio Presenter,’ Award at the Nigeria Media Merit Award and the ‘Radio Presenter of the year’ from the Diamond Award for Media Excellence
