You’ve been anticipating the job interview for days or weeks and it’s over now. You have shaken hands and parted ways.
Now what? Here are five things you need to do after you finish a job interview.

Write a thank-you note immediately

Hopefully you collected business cards from each member of the interview team. The best way to follow up is to send an e-mail within 24 hours of the interview. Reiterate why you’re the best choice for the job.
You can also use the followup e-mail to thank the interviewers for their time, express your interest in landing the position, and mention anything else that led to a personal connection during the interview. Not many people write handwritten thank you notes any more, but if you do it could help you stand out. Consider hand-delivering your note so it arrives while the interview is still fresh in the interviewer’s mind.

Connect online

With business cards in hand, it can be tempting to connect at every listed address. But do so judiciously so as not to appear as though you’re stalking them.

For example, if the interviewer seems to be a heavy LinkedIn user with 500+ connections, he or she will probably be open to accepting your invitation. But if the person only has a few connections and doesn’t seem to use it frequently, he or she may view your invitation with skepticism. Following someone on Twitter, or their corporate tweets, is less intrusive and shows that you are interested in the company. Friending a professional connection whom you just met on Facebook is a no-no.

Continue to follow up
If it takes a while to get a response after the interview, consider following up again. However, make sure you are following up with something to offer each time.
One way to do this is to set up a Google Alert or do some online research to find out what’s happening in the employer’s industry so that you will have some news to share or topics to discuss in a brief followup note.

Keep notes
It’s important to keep track of job openings you pursue, contacts made, and resumes sent. After the interview, write down who you met and the date of the meeting, what you talked about, what you learned, your impressions of the workplace, and any concerns or questions you have.

Call
Electronic communication has become the norm these days, to the point that some people view phone calls as an intrusion on their time. So it’s best to be careful and considerate when you pick up the phone.
Did the new contact invite you to call them or did they state a preference for e-mail? If not, and if you have already reached out via e-mail and are still waiting for a response, think about what you want to say and what tone you want to impart before you start dialing. Better yet, practice that call first.

Hmmm! I don't agree with u Sir .These does not work in all situations. Especially with some Oppressive Nigerian Workers. They will not give you any audience or attention talkless of getting their Contact.Even if somehow you managed to get their contacts, they will not respond to your feedback. Some of them have skeletal in their cupboard to hide,so secretive and treat everything as Confidential, unfriendly while you are making attempt to approach them for feedback response,'they resist your move and tell you like these,'don't disturb us Oga,we will get back to you and let you know if you are successful at the end of the day...of which they never did except if you are very outstanding they may consider you by given you an invite. The chances of this one is very slim
