Africa’s Airline of the year, passengers choice award winner for 2014, and the continent’s most profitable carrier - Ethiopian Airlines, has renewed its agreement with Zuriel Oduwole, as the airlines Global Youth Ambassador. The airline began its relationship with Zuriel in 2013 at age 10, when she was invited to speak at the 50th Anniversary of the African Union in Addis Ababa - Ethiopia. Since then, she had gone on to appear in Forbes Magazine, New Africa Magazine, where she was named one of Africa’s 100 Most Influential People of 2013, and on BBC Focus On Africa program, talking about a variety of global issues. She has visited 5 African countries to speak with more than 3800 children on the importance of Education. In this quest, she has met and interviewed 1 in 6 of Africa’s 54 Presidents, and numerous other global political and business leaders, including 3 Prime Ministers from the Caribbean and Africa’s richest person – Aliko Dangote. In her statement, Zuriel indicated that her projects of rebranding Africa and interviewing global leaders keep her traveling a lot, and Ethiopian Airlines worldwide network of more than 80 destinations and convenient schedules, make this very possible. The airline has flown her to a wide range of country destinations such as Malawi, Brazil, Tanzania, Nigeria, and the United States for her various programs.
