Which Are Your Top 3 Banks In Nigeria? by adewasco2k(m): 6:57am On Nov 20, 2014 |
I am really confuse on which bank to opt to right now, i started with FirstBank then for some reasons (i think i am regretting it) i moved to GTB because of all the hypes, now i have suffered just toooooo much with GTB that i cant take it any more. I will like your rating to be based on 1. Domiciliary account 2. Online banking (online transfers both inter and intra banking) 3. Carding (acceptability on most international online stores) 4. Customer Care (swift replies to email, short waiting time on phone calls etc) 5. charges Why i want to leave GTB 1. They keep blocking my card every time i use a new ATM for withdrawal, they claim its a security measures but i missed my flight because i was unable to pay for my extra luggage which i had money in my account. 2. Calling them from India is just a total waste of time and money, it takes forever to reach them and when it does they might not hear you or something, i have spent more than N5,000 just to call them in the. 3. They dont reply to emails swiftly 4. For some reasons when i make payment on amazon mostly they will debit me twice for a transaction, i will have o find a way to reach them. 5. Just today i woke up to see my naira account reading negative (maybe i was charged twice again for a payment i made recently, till i get them on phone) and for the past 2 hours i havent been able to reach them 6. I once did an international transfer of $160 and i was charged $60.66 7. Online transfer takes time, like even if i am doing an instant transfer from my account (GTB) to another GTB account it takes a little time, a friend using Access did a transfer to my GTB and i got it instantly. etc |

Well, I'll say Access bank, Skye Bank. And funnily, GT kinda works for me but they now have the poorest customer service in Nigeria |

@ op, it can be really annoying to go through your kinda experience. From day 1 i have never been a fan of GT Bank because they were so overhyped. For me the following banks are my choice from personal experiences, Diamond Bank Zenith Bank and, Stanbic IBTC Bank |
