A higher percentage than those who comprise of the professional athletes . Don't forget people with PhDs are doctors as well.

They are also less than 1 percent so its a distinction you are putting up just because you dislike the earning power of the professional sportsmen. Why would you lump PhD holders with doctors and yet raise an eyebrow at golfers as sportsmen?

Lol Golf is a sport. Sure it doesn't require too much physical exertion, but it's on it's own level with regards to precision/physical coordination/skill.
