'Makeshift apartments' aka shacks. 'Property worth millions...' How do you reconcile the two, stereotypical journalistic dysfunction. Please remind me of that thread again.

So sad to hear. Wish them especially the baby quickest recovery.

Amaechi, you have a huge revenue to your state and you aren't maximising the rich potentials. Ensure efficient power generation and evenly distribution and not this Kangaroo method of PHCN been sold out to the ruling political class.

GEJ, pls increase Nigeria's Mega watts generation.

Is there another meaning to "timely arrival" that i don't know?

30 houses cannot burn in 10 minutes unless they all started burning the same time.
Make shift houses, made of planks, zincs, very inflammable.

Well there are other safer sources of lighting your environment or room.

Rechargeable lamps

Laterns
Etc.

if our leaders past and present had given us light, there shouldn't be need for the candle light. Nigeria had proven too difficult to be govern. Abeg divide this scam nation , give the North the Caliphate they had been clamoring for in the name of Bokos, South south - Niger-Delta Republic, SW - Oduduwa Republic and SE - Biafra

Re: 30 Houses Razed In Port Harcourt Inferno by Originalsly: 2:37pm On Nov 27, 2014
Hmmm....how true is this report? Headline screams 30 houses....details say make shift houses which means shacks....so 30 shacks worth millions of naira were burnt...wow! Then am I to believe a shack is on fire and the mother is still asleep?...even if she were drunk?....then the baby...d baby...sensing danger tries to wake the mother!!...never heard of such a thing in my life.....not even in Nollywood and if can't happen in Nollywood it can never happen anywhere. So what really is true?....30 shacks went up in flames?

It's that time of the year again when markets, factories, ware houses, filling stations, houses and bushes do catches fire mysteriously. May God stop any form of fire outbreak around us while we remain vigilant too, Amen!
