Guys how can i  copy out my vista default drivers from my laptop before formatting to install XP. I have a hp dv2000 64bit laptop. But everything i install in it seems to be giving me problem. please i need you guys advice.

If it is hp then there is usually a folder on the C: drive that stores some drivers but really it won't help you because vista most likely will not work with xp. Another thing to note is that HP does not ship with a recovery CD so when formatting be careful not to touch the recovery partition (if there is any) or else you need to create a backup of your hard drive.

Bros, thanks for your input, actually i was adviced not to change to XP. What i did was to format and install Vista Ultimate of 34bit but i already have a recovery CDs for the default. My challenge now is downloading the drivers, initially i thought the default might work on the ultimate. some did, some didnt.

That's because your system came with 64 bit vista and the drivers were written for 64 bit OS. What is the model number so we can forward you links.
N.B, it is 32 bit not 34 bit.
