This is such a touchy issue. This is because on the subject of discipline as it concerns a child, most parents have differing opinions. I don't think anybody can really lay claim to knowing it all in this area. While some believe that sparing the rod does spoil a child, Others believe in punishments that don't involve a rod. Some parents don't even bother to correct their child anymore. They neither want them to spanked or corrected. Discipline is key in a child's life, hence the need to instill it at a young age.

Sparing the rod does not always spoil the child. I'm a living proof of that. Well, I've always had a unique personality. Words were always enough for me. BTW...don't take the rod thingy too literally.
