I Think I Killed A Man by Nobody: 4:27pm On Dec 01, 2014
Hello everyone, I don't know if sharing this would help me get calm...I really hope it does.

I think i killed a man along the road. I hope he is not dead or someone should have found him by now.

On friday,my friend and I took a trip to Aba,abia state from enugu for an event. The event took place on sunday and went well where I helped to serve drinks like a faithful friend helping out. The event ended in the evening and we had to leave aba at that time cos of the appointments we had to keep on monday. So we embarked on the journey bk to enugu.

Somewhere along the enugu/ph,between aba and umuahia, the road was so bad and we had to move slowly to avoid potholes. Then an armed guy jumped in front of the car,he was on a green 3quarter short and black shirt shouting and threatening. Obviously, he was a man of the night.

Mehn! I was scared to the bones..I quickly hid my phone in the side space on the door. The car windows were wound down.

He started whistling loudly while walking to my side..then I locked my door. He came to my side shouting that I should open it..then it happened.

He put his head inside the car through the window to unlock the door..only God knows where the courage came from,I took the wine opener we used at the event which was on the, (that middle place between the driver seat and the passenger seat thats looks like a mini table for the keeping things like discs) and I stabbed him hard in the neck. and I think it was fatal cos he just went down while holding the window..

Then I yelled at my friend to get us outta there...this happened so fast that I was still shaking even when we got back to enugu.

I feel so bad and im wishing the man survived the wound on his neck. I'm of the catholic denomination and I'm confused on whether to go for confession or not cos it wasn't premeditated.

is this like a straight pathway to hell?

"An armed guy?", "A man of the night?" and you are feeling guilty? It's either you or him! That's how we would have heard story of "two people dead in car". Abegi carry on with your life jor!

Dont be a whimp! You defended yourself Ok! He must be a criminal or a madman to have attempted what he did(if only you wrote the whole truth up there). Guy man up. That guy can go to hell!
You gat nothing to confess. Go to some night club with friends and celebrate your survival. I know that road very well, you could have been dead yourself by now.
Go and catch some fun, cause come judgement day you already have a good lawyer in me. grin

I support this view.

Although you may see a specialist like a psychologist to help. If confession will ease the guilt, do it. But if the story you told us in the OP is the truth, you shouldn't bother yourself.

Good luck.

This is rough
The would be assailant brought this upon himself,if this happened just like way you said
No matter what anyone says it is a tough thing to live with knowing that you may have killed someone even if in self defense
Kneel beside your bed and ask God to help heal the pain you feel and to forgive you if you sinned
I pray you never face this sort of thing again
Hopefully he survived and learned his lessons.

Re: I Think I Killed A Man by Nobody: 6:16pm On Dec 01, 2014
Here's my 500k contribution, you basically acted on instinct which afterwards, your consciousness kicked in as catholic,Now that's what religion do,its maintain and sustain your morality standard even when you RIGHT you would wanna see yourself with with the eyes of your God that you WRONG,murder is illegal but self defense is legal so discharge and aquit your mind from the consciousness court of religion, you good.

What was he armed with? That would determine your culpability if you did kill him. He's probably not dead though, he must have had colleagues in the area who could attend to him. One man does not attempt a highway robbery. That is, if it was a robbery.

Death or injury is an occupational hazard for armed robbers, so don't feel too bad for him. You were simply the manifestation of the justice he deserves. It is almost inevitable that an armed robber will get it. So you or someone else had to be the one to deliver. It was you.

Sorry about the experience. Perhaps we can say a prayer for his health, for both his sake and yours. Hopefully he will learn his lesson.

he was armed with what looked like a locally made firearm. that I saw when he step in front of the vehicle initially.

I really hope he survives. The thought of having someone's blood on my hands alone got me thinking.
