Yes a very good question you asked, i want to believe that with the rate the Boko Haram is increasing their deadly unslaught on innocent women and children in the northeast as the general election is approaching; i will like to say that Buhari is in charge of the daily operations and activities in Nigeria now. |
Re: MODIFIED by Nobody: 8:54am On Dec 02, 2014 |
mandarin:I think Madam Patience is incharge of Security. The First Lady has summoned the Borno State Police Commissioner; the Divisional Police Officer for Chibok; the Borno State Commissioner for Education, the relevant Local Government Chairman, the school principal and the school gate man, among others over chibok issue, a clearly National security issue that is within the purview of the President |

Re: MODIFIED by Nctrice(m): 8:57am On Dec 02, 2014 |
barcanista:tackle issues objectively my Bro! I for one was not so pleased with the way the Fin Min was delegated the duty of submitting the budget... but don't forget that who ever submits the budget to the NASS does not in anyway influence how much of the budget would be implemented before the end of the fiscal year. Which to me is the most objectively important issue we should be looking at, for that's what affects the common man on the street... let politicians fight over who submitted the budget to the NASS, let us rather worry and provide an enabling environment for the greater part of the budget being implemented! 1 Like |

barcanista:Point of correction, I am not a common civilian. Buhari, use to be a major General and a millitary head of state now. Let's not derail the thread bro. |

Re: MODIFIED by Ikwokrikwo: 8:59am On Dec 02, 2014 |
Yeah Yeah. The solution is to hand over power to Buhari who was COMPLETELY overshadowed by his deputy when he was in his forties, how much more docile will he be now that he is in his 70's? 3 Likes |
Re: MODIFIED by Ikwokrikwo: 9:04am On Dec 02, 2014 |
Question of the day: If Buhari was so docile and clueless in his 40's that some people though his deputy Idiagbon was actually the President, what will happen now that he is in his 70's and so frail? 1 Like |

Nctrice:Guy you are blabbing without a point. Read the content of the thread again. Clearly, by appointing NOI as Coordinating Minister, she automatically assumed his powers. She was incharge of the Subsidy issue, not the President. She was the one that debunked Sanusi's alleged $20 billion, though she agreed $10 billion was missing, not the President. She is the one that supervises every other Ministry, NOT the President, with exception of Petroleum Ministry, that is run and supervised by Madam Okplo Eye Diezani. She Presented 2014 Budget, Not the President. She defended 2014 Budget, Not the President. She isn't the first Minister we are having in Nigeria, but she is the First to perform roles of the President. In fact, Our President does not have a clue on what goes on. |
Re: MODIFIED by Adminisher: 9:10am On Dec 02, 2014 |
Morkavictor: This is not finding fault. The year Jonathan refused to present the budget, I knew je was a real useless man. A lot of you guys supporting him would not employ someone with his attitude. One important reason why he did not present that budget that you wont believe..... Jonathan did not agree with the budget, which was 80% recurrent and 20% capital however because he is not a MAN the only way to show disagreement was not to present it. Also people scared him that the legislators were going to boo him. Can you believe this is the kind of man affecting the destinies of 170million people. It is the President's job to present the budget never the Finance Minister, the clueless man has also been heard telling people not to call him Commander In Chief, can you believe that?. I say this man should be flushed out very fast. He is clueless and incompetent. 1 Like |

barcanista:Guy if you want to deceive people go to the nearest nursery school closest to you and gather the kids there and tell them all this story you are telling here. Nairaland.com is not the right place for this. Let me correct you! Sambo's Visit is not a State visit. Read this story http://www.elombah.com/index.php/201-news/latest-news/20815-2015-president-jonathan-visits-emir-of-kano-prominent-oyo-osun-monarchs and you would realized that Kwankwaso sent his Deputy during the president's visit to the late Emir ! |
Re: MODIFIED by OrlandoOwoh(m): 9:14am On Dec 02, 2014 |
Djicemob:We have an opposition. APC is doing the exact work of an opposition. You think the work of an opposition is to fraternize with the ruling party? Go to the US and see how the Speaker of their House of Representative, John Boehner, a Republican attacks the ruling Democrat. The recent attack is Obama's new policy on foreigners. |
Re: MODIFIED by 9jatriot(m): 9:14am On Dec 02, 2014 |
My take, another 4 years with this same team, bread will be sold for 500naira. War torn Somalia will be like heaven to us. This man is leading the country into chaos. How do I know that he is incompetent? The man is so desperate to be in power next year that if he could solve the economic or security problems, he would have at least offered a temporal solution and then relax again next year if he wins, but right now, even if solving the issues will advance his cause, he simply does not have the wherewith how to do it. 1 Like |

Nctrice:Read Very well, the President want to Kano on a PRIVATE visit. He went there to "Greet" the Emir and also visited other Monarchs. It wasn't a State or Official visit, hence, you don't expect Dr. Rabiu Kwankwaso to abandon business in Kano just to escort someone that came to say "Hello" to the Emir President Goodluck Jonathan, while speaking at the palace of the Emir, also said that he was in Kano on a private visit to pay homage and see how the Emir was doing, following his health condition. btw: Sambo's visit was an OFFICIAL one. |

barcanista:Answer this simple and objective question. Has her presentation and defense of the Budget affected the implementation of the budget in any proven negative way? |
Re: MODIFIED by Ngwakwe: 9:21am On Dec 02, 2014 |

Re: MODIFIED by Nctrice(m): 9:34am On Dec 02, 2014 |
barcanista:when GEJ visited Edo state for the PDP zonal rally the Governor of the state was there with him at the Oba's palace! How would you describe that! Let me inform you now that if the president is visiting your state courtesy demands that you welcome him, with a child presenting him a flower, that's a sign of humility and loyalty. It's funny how you could understand that Kwankwaso had state business to attend to that's why he delegated his deputy, but you can't seem to comprehend the fact that the president could have had issues to attend to as the president of a nation, that's why he delegated his vice! BTW! Am off this thread! Have a fun filled day deceiving yourself! 1 Like |

Ngwakwe:You're the one wanting to deceive the public. Go read section 81 (1). It's the President that lays "in each financial year estimates of the revenue and expenditure of the Federation for the next following financial year." |
Re: MODIFIED by Nobody: 9:38am On Dec 02, 2014 |
Ngwakwe:There are unwritten protocols in government. The President should ordinarily be the one to present budgets to the Parliament on behalf of Nigerians. The Parliamentarians will then discuss with him on grey areas and listen to his speech on the implementation of the last and benefit of the budget. The Mininisters and other officers of government meet with the parliamentarians on committee level. You Ngwakwe is a funny guy 1 Like |

For the FIRST time, a Minister Represented the President in AU meeting. While other African leaders were presenting papers on behalf of their nation at the 50th anniversary of the African Union, AU Meeting, Nigeria was represented by Ambassador Olugbenga Ashiru. This was a show of cluelessness by the President |

Many people criticising jonathan doesn't even know how the government works,I wonder if many of them passed ssce, calling a Dr clueless makes jonathan haters looks irresponsible and un-cultured,why didn't u guys suggest they withdraw all the soldiers so we can send only jonathan to borno to show his leadership skills,or remove all the ministers, senators, reps and governors so jonathan can handle everything, shallow minded individuals always out to misguide the gullible...I pity the parent that raised u guys. 1 Like |

Section 80 to section 84 of the CFRN (Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria) provides that “the President shall cause (the budget) to be prepared and laid.” The NASS sanctioned it and declared it constitutional. Do well to delete it to avoid spreading this misconception out there among gullible Nigerians. barcanista: OrlandoOwoh: 2 Likes 1 Share |
