African Cable Television (ACTV), a Nigerian-owned multi-media company that offers a Direct to Home (DTH) pay-TV, has entered the Nigerian broadcast industry with determination to push its way into the pay-TV market

The ACTV, pronounced ‘Active,’ is poised to offer both local and international and multi-media entertainment to customers in Nigeria.

With a wide range of channels in four distinct packages, ACTV says it shall make all its channels accessible to all subscribers who sign up to the service between now and December 31, under a promotion subscription package for a period of one month.

Unveiling the new TV in Lagos, Godfrey Orkeh, managing director/CEO, ACTV says the station is poised to offer to subscribers an enhanced consumer TV experience, providing them easy access to high definition channels, featuring music, movies, sports, lifestyle, fashion, children entertainment, religion and a whole lot more.

According to him, ACTV will be offering four packages that include ACTV Prime, ACTV Family, ACTV Family Max and ACTV Premium, and customers will spend the end of the year season with a choice of TV channels that address the needs of every member of the family and friends.

“We have our own channels – Rana for Hausa entertainment programming, Ibile for Yoruba entertainment programming, Oji for Igbo entertainment programming, and for the first time in Africa, an exclusive pidgin channel Area TV. In other words, we have something for everyone. That is why we say to our customers, ‘Its your world.’ We have no doubt that our customers will be delighted by this mix,” Orkeh says.

He further reveals that the vision of the pay-TV is to be a Direct-to-Home TV operator that is renowned for offering quality entertainment content and a broad spectrum of choice offerings to customers.

“With the launch of ACTV today, we are saying to Nigeria that we are committed to ensuring that we provide value to everyone and we keep delivering value now and in the future,” according to him.

Joseph Chitanta, vice president/chief operating officer, ACTV, says that providing all customers with exceptional customer service, decoders that integrate state-of-the-art technologies including high definition TV, PVR and pause-TV coupled with TV programming will not only increase their entertainment experience, but significantly save them time by providing them with programmes that address their needs.

They need to strategies better than just talking. Nigerians are wise now
They can't give u there money if u can't prove quality in ur service.

We want to see all European leagues live on TV at a cheap price (money wey no dey tear pocket) like multichoice does.

Introduction of pay as you go is another one and pay per view.

This is what can push gotv and others not just talk.

But they are the industry leader anyway go and ask GLO till date MTN still lead

Not even a list of their tv stations let alone their unique offer.
