The defender believes Argentina would have won the World Cup final had his compatriot been fully fit for the clash with Germany

Manchester City right-back Pablo Zabaleta believes Sergio Aguero is currently the best striker in the world.

The 26-year-old has scored 19 goals in 20 appearances this season, while his double on Wednesday inspired City’s 4-1 win over Sunderland which keeps the Premier League champions six points behind Chelsea.

Zabaleta also feels that Argentina would have won the World Cup if Aguero had not been hampered by his hamstring injury during the tournament given his confident and clinical standards.

“I’ve known Sergio a long time and I think this is probably the best moment of his career,” said Zabaleta.
