Sachet Water popularly called 'Pure Water' in Nigeria was popularly known around 2009 when the need for substitution of iced water. A lot of people switched from the iced water to pure water.

However, a research carried out by Akinluyi Sola Mathew, a 300level Student of the Department of Plant Sciene, faculty of Science, revealed that consumption of pure water could be dangerous when put in water for people to buy.
