In recent times the fall in the global price of oil has no doubt kept the economy of the nation shaky and unstable. Investors are now counting their loses every now and then and market capitilizations in the Nigerian stock markets have dropped drastically in the past month.

The reason behind the economy melt down in the country cannot be far fetched, in fact the current situation will also affect any nation that is over dependent on oil sales in running their economy and Nigeria is never exempted from that and a typical example of a country that depends mostly on oil revenue to pilot the economy.

And now oil prices in the global market are falling like stone dropped from the sky, and the worst of it is that there is no end in sight of this dropping oil prices.

Recently as a result of this, the Nigerian currency was devalued, and the currency value is still deepening against major currencies of the world. One can now only exchange a dollar to naira for nothing less than N180.

In the midst of this economy instability,it is true that some investors are licking their wounds while some other players in the same financial window are smilling to the bank..

Take for instance, the bureau de change offices and persnoles exchanging foreign currences, the market is booming for them and they are making gains upon gains on any penny currency they excchange.

Others that are huge beneficiaries from this dwindling oil prices are workers in the countries that earn in dollars and other foreign currencies, because by the time they convert their earnings to local currency, you will find out that they now have more money at their disposal against other periods.

So has the current situation affected you in any way? Have you being licking your wounds too like many other investors out there or has it being the other way round, while others are crying, you are singing songs of joy? Share with us the effect of the dwindling oil price to you as a person or your business
