This is probably going to be the only functional power plant in Nigeria because It'll be powered with gas from Niger republic. Everyone knows Nigeria's power problems are mainly erratic gas supply and distribution. With stable gas supply from Niger republic and not the Niger delta, communities to be fed with electricity from the power plant should expect stable power when its completed.

This is a political project and is fake. Everybody knowledgeable has been proposing it for four years and nothing was done. Two months to the elections they now rush to sign a fake MOU. MOU is not a contract.
No financing is guaranteed yet and if you read through the write up no construction is going to start in the next two or three years. Only an idiot will vote for a government on the basis of an MOU to construct a fake power plant.
