In a month ’ s time, Africa Magic will
be hosting its second African Magic
Viewers Choice Award ( AMVCA ) . The
nominees for the prestigious and well-
celebrated awards have been announced and fans are given the opportunity to vote for their
favourites.

The first edition , held last year , had the likes of O. C Ukeje, Mercy Johnson, Tunde Kelani and other notable movie stars as winners in different
categories . This year promises to be even more exciting , according to a representative of Amstel Malta , the sponsors of the awards .
Amstel Malta Brand Manager, Hannatu Ageni-Yusuf, expressed excitement over Amstel Malta's
involvement with the AMVCA , saying; “ Amstel Malta has always focused on getting people to be the best they can and our partnership with the AMVCA gives us the opportunity to not only
encourage people that have put in their best in the movie industry but also inspire others by reinforcing the brand message : ‘ Be the Best you can Be. ”

Funke Akindele , Desmond Elliot, Frank rajah , Martins Onyebuchi and Osita Iheme are top on the list as they have multiple nominations. Last year , O. C Ukeje came tops winning the Best
Actor, Drama , with Ivie Okujaye bagging the Industry Trail Blazer Award at the AMVCA.
