OLUWADAMILARE AYOMIDE

Oluwadamilare Ayomide, an eleven years old boy is today celebrated with Award by Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) as the best pupil of the year.



This year SUBEB Annual Merit Award according to the management,is supported in collaboration with Oando Foundation, Eco Bank Plc and Lagos State Internal Revenue Services (LIRS).

Among the awardees are: the best teacher, best non-teaching staff, best guard, best cleaner and many more.

"The aim is to motivate. It is a source of encouragement as to ensure the betterment of individuals in affecting Lagos State Primary Education Sector which SUBEB oversee" Mrs Okoh,SUBEB's Head of PR Unit said. AYOMIDE AND DAD

Okoh continued "In the case of Ayomide who is considered the best pupil for the year 2014 SUBEB Merit Award, I think it will encourage other pupils to shun all forms of academic indolence especially the damage which TV, useless Social Networking Sites and senseless songs do in affecting their studies"

Ayomide, in an interview said his mother teaches him at home, everyday when he comes back from school."She is my teacher at home, although she is not one by profession" he said.

Executive Chairman of SUBEB, Alhaja Khadijat Gbolahan Daodu advised parents to discipline their children and monitor their academic performance, because teachers cannot do it alone..COM
