The last paragraph....I can relate to it, trying to resist temptation by your willpower, it almost always leads to a disappointing failure...

You're trying to suppress nature, how possible is that? You might as well be fighting the urge to urinate.

While I'm blessed with the gift of sight, I'm going feast my eyes on beautiful things and beautiful women.. Not doing so would be tantamount to not living life.

If lusting after women is a sin, then that's a sin I'd gladly commit everyday.

Nice and beneficial write up for someone that's trying to make heaven and have a successful life here on earth!
A man has to control what he sees cos that's the gate to his heart, and the world screams of sexuality, I will practice what is written here,
A word is enough for the wise!

You don't climb a ladder from the top but from the bottom but Christain seems to climb from the top. God taught me some things which i know will help overcome dis issue.
Actually the eyes is not the source of Lust but your heart is. You have to overcome your Heart nd nt ur eyes first. Before i came to Christ i watch porn let me just say an addict nd a fan of MJ then,so when i came to Christ the imagination still come though have stop watching but the image is clear than never.I knew this is not right as a Christain the Spirit told me is not right so i went to God in prayer then it shows to me d image is not formed on my eyes but my heart i felt d great need to overcome nd i pray to God and He answer me by helping me nd dats how i overcome the wickedness of heart.Till today i can stand by his Grace even u run naked in my house it makes no change for God is with me. Maybe i should create a thread to give the steps to overcome besetting sins to help others.

Some ladies are inherently seductively wicked. Whether they do it for fun or unholy intent to kill I can't say. I have devised a method that works for me. I saw one few days ago. Her container was well packaged seductively with the asss and boobs all visible since he sef no bad as a guy, I had to take my time and satisfy my eyes and mind that wants to lead me into trap. My eyes was busy checking her out while my impure mind was already devouring her nakedd!!!! I allowed my self to be a natural man and respond naturally after which self discipline kicks in and erases such thoughts but not without my body resisting and saying I will miss an opportunity to Bleep her brains out. But when you consider some crazy spirits some ladies parades you will know you are playing fire. I reward myself with the knowledge that @ the right time and moment when the stars are in alignment I go do tire and even be running away. I'm still focused on being the best I can be. Praise the lord.

To avoid falling into temptation we have to simply allow ourselves to become prisoners of Christ. We need the Holy Spirit. We need Faith. It's not about what we do. Man can't do anything to save himself. We simply need to always put all our Faith in what Christ has already done for us not what we can do. Knowing that we're dead to sin and have been made the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.

Beautiful article.

Some men can go to the extremes to control their eyes. Iwent to my lecturer's office one day. He was working on his computer when I came in. I'm a BBW, so what I wore that day must have scrambled his focus, because his reaction was immediately defensive.

I had barely taken a seat when he whipped out his sunshades and slammed them into his face. In the 45mins I sat in his office, he never once took off the shades and avoided looking at me directly.

Even though he looked very ridiculous, it is his way of practicing eye control. grin

Me, I simply block out nasty stuff and focus my mind on other things.

How come i didn't know about this

someone told me of a story of a pastor that asked God to take his sight cos dat was his weakness *in d sense dat he lusts after women easily* ,it happened that he was preaching to his congregation without his sight, but one day he asked God to restore his sight just so he could see his congregation & how many people he'd converted & God did restore his sight just for dat sake & dat moment then he went blind again.
Kai! You people can lie eh, how do people come up with such stories, worse is, how stup1d does someone have to be to believe this crap you posted? Na wa o.

Onething I know from experience is that, if a man starts practicing the things said here, a time will come he will start resisting temptation effortlessly and unconsciously.

God doesn't want us to lust, yet he created what can cause lust and gave people that emotion called lust, how does any of it make sense?
Re: Temptations Vs Our Sight by Nobody: 11:18am On Dec 14, 2014
Why is it hard to understand, human is apart of the intricate social web and somethings happen by instinct,The only reason for consciousness in cognition is to control your many urges as vulnerable human....Even the so called GRADUATES and the op just attach everything to religion forgetting the Id,ego and superego by sigmud freud taught in school. Culture&Religion has really done more harm than good here in Africa/Nigeria...we not growing intellectually.

The issue of lust touches both man and woman. It is not a gender issue it is a general problem that resulted from the fall in the garden of Eden. It may surprise you to know that women are equally in battle against lust as men are. The only solution can be found in total surrender to Christ and what he has done for us on the Cross. Other than this there is no other escape root for man. The believer that now feels he is standing and forgets to take heed of that fact will soon fall. We cannot stand alone. We must fully lean on Grace by Faith in Christ Jesus always.

I never said I can stop you from posting, did I? I only made a request that you stop spreading overly ridiculous stories.

It's your prerogative to continue though, it's just that you sound like an ediot when you say things like that, then again, most religious people are hypocrites and big time imbec1les.
