No oil minister in Nigeria including General Muhammadu Buhari ever thought of expanding the capacity of the NNPC since its establishment.

May Allah protect Alhaji Aliko Dangote for this project and grant him long life and prosperity. grin

Why do you think that this kind of project should not be owned by an individual? This is a capitalist country and there is no holds barred as to what you own provided you dont break the law.

my dear is because of economic exploitation and a few other shenanigans dang may pull with this kind of assest. We've seen situations where cement sold for 1500 and above in nigeria is being sold in other countrys in w.africa for 600 yu get it now

Realise the problems these industrialists go through before they get the product to the average Nigerian. The largest cost centre in their operations is energy costs, which is eventually passed on to me and you. How many industries are the West Africa Region compared to what is obtainable in Nigeria?

no offense but this kind of asset should not be owned by a person in a country for me this should strictly be a govetnment owned assest my worry is in the area of abuse exploitation and maybe economic sabotage.

Take oil subsidy off, and you will see refineries everywhere in Nigeria. That is the truth.
Dangote has said that the Fuel from his refinery will mainly be for export, Since petrol is more expensive abroad than it is in Nigeria.
I agree with you.until we come at same price it will be same storey

My reason for sayn or opting for govt control of refinery instead of dangote is based on the area of sabotage, exploitation.

And come to think of it a refinery is not something dat should be owned by just one person its like saying you wanna own an airport which govt all over the world maintains control of......

and for yur info I reason like a human being

Moreover my opinion still stands. I feel its embarassing for a country like nigeria after the subsidy notw sayn it will help us bla bla not to own a refinery yet one man frm no where is building one im not against dang but I smell foul play and double standard.

If only the crazy Generals that squandered and spoiled Nigeria's oil boom invested half of their loot like this, Nigeria would have for long been a better place. But they decided to dig a pit and bury it like the biblical wicket servant.

Up Dango!!
you nko. What are you doing with your own share of the '' loot ''
Don't say you didn't loot
Free or subsidised education is your share etc
