Abuja - Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, the running mate to the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari in the 2015 election has revealed why he accepted the offer, reports Punch.

He said his acceptance was based on the face that Buhari is the only leader that can lead that common sense revolution Nigeria urgently needs.

Osinbajo, while being presented as the APC’s vice presidential candidate at the party’s secretariat in Abuja on Wednesday, said he consulted widely before taking the offer to serve as Buhari’s running mate.

He stated that he is coming into the assignment with a lot of hope and a resolve to be a part of the movement to bring Nigeria back to its lost glory.

Osinbajo was a former Lagos State Commissioner for Justice and Attorney-General .

He is married to a granddaughter of the late sage, Obafemi Awolowo.
