Excelling At Interviews and Beyond: You, The Table, And The Man. Part1 by Nobody: 9:32pm On Dec 18, 2014
I will start this write up by telling you a bit about the three subjects.

YOU are the applicant, you are either the average Nigerian graduate attending your first or tenth interview or the average worker looking for more challenges or looking to change place of work due to one reason or the other. Whichever category you belong, you have applied for a job and you have been invited for an interview. You have also prepared for the interview as you would not want to miss the opportunity.

The TABLE: the table here falls into two categories: the table is the physical table across which will be seated your interviewer, it is also the barrier that may or may not hinder your success at the interview.

The MAN might be a female or a male. The man is the individual in whose hands lies partially your being employed or not. Partially because in some cases, the interviewer takes the last decision if he is a high authority at the establishment or he reports to higher authority who takes the decision. The man is also what you would like to become; employing candidates for your company or interviewing candidates on behalf of your company.

Upon arriving the interview venue, scan your environment and picture the three big players of the moment: You, the Table, and the Man across
the table.....
