getting pregnant .. In abroad, For only one woman in labour , you will see an Obstetrician , A Gynecologist , A
General Surgeon , A Specialist Surgeon , An
Anesthestist , A Registered Nurse /Midwife/,
plus Social Welfare Officer and So On--
And they pet woman in labour "that's why it is called Delivery Room over there

But in Nigerian my Country it is called
"Labour
Room" and if you see what women go through
here, you will agree wit me that it should also
be call "CONFESSION AND TRIAL ROOM" Nigerian
nurses makes pregnancy look like a criminal
offense ,, and the worse thing is that they are
everywhere both in private nd government
hospital .. For Instance,
when a woman who is in labour is brought to
the hospital , they will throw her into the
labour room and lock her up like a criminal
awaiting trial and they will go to the reception
and be gossiping or go into the Dr' s office nd be
totoring until the woman will start shouting
like goat. And when they go to meet her, is not
help her but to insult her:
"You go dey hear things like"
Na me do you?
The man wey do u dey here o! Madam push o! Abeg
open ur leg joor!
Abi you wan kill ur pekin? .. You better push
now or i go leave you here o!

The truth is that Nigerian Nurses are also part of the Nigerian problems. Do i blame them? yes/ no.

The first and only reason why i can find faults about Nigeria Nurses, is because i have been exposed to Nurses in other Western World and know what is obtainable from Nurses. But you have to realize that Nigerian Nurses are a protect of a very harsh society, and going through this bitter society before qualifying to be NURSE leaves them bitter already.

You cannot point out ONE CREDIBLE Nursing School in Nigeria. This one is simple, that Nigerian factor where EVERYBODY bribes their way out of Schools is one of the biggest problems our educational system faces. That is why even if we see a FIRST CLASS GRADUATE from any Nigerian institution, we just LAUGH. As a First class graduate from Uni this or Uni that in Nigeria, will go to some foreign schools and come out with THIRD CLASS,why ? no bribe factor there.

In California, about 40 to 50% of the Nurses in that State is from the Philippines. There are so much Filipino Nurses in the State of California, you might be mistaken to think you are in the Philippines. So why? The Philippines, even if its a developing country, has made sure it upholds the training and integrity of the Nursing profession, and this the Government takes very serious.

And that is why the United States is always recruiting Nurses from that Country, and are not made to undergo any kind of Nursing Conversion program.

The Flip Side to it is that Nurses around the world are notorious for not being faithful to their partners too.

So how do we start taking Nigerian Nurses serious? Until the Government really start Monitoring and Implementing Measures that will make Schools TRAIN only the best in the Nursing World in Nigeria.

You can say more, that is even if the hospital generator is working well. As soon as d child enter naija a new passport and visa will be given and pikin wey suppose be a great mechanical engineer will turn roadside mechanic, oil and gas pikin go turn groundnut oil seller and cooking gas shop retailer.
sometimes I dey wander was it all our destiny to be jobless after school as in angel sitdown dey rite say after school all dis population of young talented amazing guys should end up playing nairabet and naijabet.

Mr man Abi woman there is no profession in Nigeria that is better than foreign (developed countries) profession ..the working environment, the quality of schools, the salary and the facility ain't the same.

Bring a foreign trained nurse/Dr to practice in our ill-equipped hospitals in Nigeria then u will see rubbish...Our nurses/Drs who travelled to developed countries are doing excellently well because the working environment is conducive...

Why are we having brain drain?

Our health workers are even trying, they treat HUMANS using "nothing"
