well the picture cannot be confirmed, with time more details will filter in, but if GEJ can do this the BH is history, and then Amaechi might have to change their campaign theme

That picture if from the Ukraine-Russia conflict.

The story makes very little sense to be honest.

Why would Ukraine sell 77 tanks to Nigeria when they barely have enough to fight in the Donbas? They are almost out of well equipped tanks to use themselves.

There is nothing like Anti-IED tank. The only reason an IED wont blow up a tank is if explosive is not big enough to penetrate the armor of the tank. all BH needs to do is build bigger IEDs.

Fake story!

There is something suspicious about the above picture. I can't quite put my finger on just what is suspect about it, but that picture just does not look like it was taken in Nigeria. The troops look white, even though they are not clear in the distance, so I will just say that the picture MIGHT be of Russian forces in the Ukraine.

1dey don't use it anymore n most are in storage close to 1400
2if u have heard of someone with username Siriusback he is a serving office in NE.he also confirmed it only dat due to d embargo of military pix on blogs he would have posted it.
3 Sista a VBIED can't hurt or maybe seriously damage a tank unless it's a buried IED

Nice writeup, the attributes of these tanks as stipulated by the writeup is fascinating and awe evoking.

But that pics you posted up there looks suspecious, it looks like something poached from one of those foreign military blogs.

and u just foolishly gave bH clue on how to combat tanks!!!weda fake or real support nigeria support the army
Re: . by Adminisher: 6:39pm On Dec 19, 2014
T 72 Tanks are good but Nigeria deserves T 90. Please note that the tanks use a Russian GPS GLOSSNASS system that may not be compatible during targeting with the American GPS that the NA is used to. Like somebody just said, there is nothing like anti IED tanks. Boko Haram does not have the knowledge to make tank destroying IEDs yet so the Nigerian Army should finish this childish war quickly and save civilians and our young soldiers.

Also that picture of a column of Tanks is not from Nigeria.

I agree the story has a lot of holes.

However you are wrong in asking why the Ukrainians would sell the Nigerian Army tanks, when they don't have enough themselves.

Tanks, armoured vehicles aren't made by the Ukrainian government, rather by private Ukrainian defence companies. It iss the purview of these companies to export or not to export to foreign customers.

The Ukrainian government is broke, and currently cannot afford MBT's for its troops fighting in the donbas.

2 T-84OPLOT-M's were recently exported to Nigeria. The only reason they might refuse to export to foreign buyers would be public outcry. The government cannot stop foreign sales.

I prefer attack helicopters to this tank, we simply need an eye in the sky not blind T72

The quantity raises a red flag because that number, 77 has been with us for so many years. She (linda) cherry picked her story. When the Czech republic were downsizing their T-72 M3 CZ fleet. Nigeria, Algeria and India expressed interest in buying the fleet. Nigeria (OBJ's regime) were to receive 77 T-72's, what isn't clear is if Nigeria went forward with the deal and actually received the T-72's.

So, this was were the 77 number came from. we cannot confirm whether we received the T-72's or not.

We also had a different set of T-72's in the Ukraine we hadn't completed payments on.

At this point, we are only sure we received T-72B's from belarus.
