We Africans by culture appreciate a male child as a firstborn to a female. A few people I have spoken to who had a girl as a first child are happy and contented. So which do you prefer?

If it is guaranteed that I'll later have a male child then I'll prefer a female child as a first born,a 12 year female child is more useful to the family than male,female child usually take care of their parents at old age more than male especially when they are first born

But in all ramifications I prefer male child as the first born because there's no guarantee if I'll later have one,and you know very well that a family without a male child is in trouble
