Hi my fellow nairalanders. . Wts this MTNZONE% that kips showing on all mtn phones. . Mine kip acelerating from MTNZONE20% to 80%. . Is it a kind of new MTN INITIATIVE 2 register a HOMEZONE 4 its subscribers like ETISALAT'S HOMEZONE or wt does it signify? |

Mtn zone is a free cheap call rates. It did not show on evry mtn sim unless if u activated it on ur fone. If activated then it will show mtnzone 20% that means dat whenever u make call only 20% credit was deducted from ur fone. o.k. |

dial *135*1# to register and *135*9# to deregister wen it drops below 70% always use above 70% to be on the safe side. good luck |

CRAP, CRAP, CRAP! It's always amazing whenever MTN comes up with new initiatives to defraud us innocently. I have been seeing the thingy and just ignored it like any other Mtn carrot. Then i saw d post about the codes. Damn! Curiousity is a bad thing. So i take a leap of faith and register. I check my balance. No more extraconnect. Okay. Checked my friends and family. Unavailable. Okay. Knowing mtn, i bring out a stopwatch and call my F&F number. 56 seconds. Checked my balance, smiled. Brought out my calculator. 51 kobo per second in broad daylight. I smiled. I deregistered the thieving implement immediately. I feel better now. Moral lesson? MTN will never EVER give you anything free. End of story. |

guys beware of the MTNZONE, its tricky, i registerd and i was charged 6naira for 30secs at the 80% MTNZONE, but note if u are on extra kool, it neutralizes ur account to a normal account, meaning ur xtra cook account will be deactivated, it pays for extra connect subscibers only, wisen up guys, |

Well i'll only list 4 things for d house 1. Be on xtra cool (for heavy texters) 2. or xtra connect (for heavy callers) 3. I'm on xtra cool 4. Beware of MTN period! |

MTNZONE hasn't really worked for me.The 'MTNZONE' notification has never display on my phone screen once,even after I registered and the charges during this period was suicidal-60 bucks for 1 minute MTN to MTN calls.Dem no tell me twice before I shele from the package. |

form a habit of deregistering when it is below 60% so u will not forget and make a call, only to be heart broken! |

To deregister, use *135*9# And mind you, it works only in ENugu State. |
