One of the numerous diversification attempts of the biggest mobile phone company in the world – Samsung Mobile, is its Tizen OS powered smartphones and smartwatches. Even now that the Samsung profits are beginning to dwindle, the Tizen project if successful could revive the fortunes of the mobile phone giant.
Images have been emerging on the first Tizen-based smart phone by Samsung – Samsung Z1, which appears to be a low budget smartphone from its specifications. It has 4.0inch display at a resolution of 480x800, 1.2GHz dual core processor, 768MHz memory, dual camera support- 3MP rear with LED flash and 0.3MP front-facing, 4GB ROM with external SDcard support and battery capacity of 1200mAh. The smartphone appears to have dual SIM support from the 'DUOS' indicated on the front panel.
It is expected at an estimated price of $90 (N16,000) and to launch January 18, most likely starting with India (India is fast becoming the biggest mobile community, and has been hosting a lot of smartphone debuts from around the world lately).

I, personally appreciate the difference in the UI of the Tizen from the conventional Samsung Android UI, better still, I felt there should be a room to change the design or outlook of the Tizen supported smartphones from the regular Samsung designs to create a whole new world of mobile innovation. Specifications of the Samsung Z1 could be heightened as well to compete with 2015 range of smart devices. Fans all over the world are expecting premium mobiles in terms of efficiency, design, performance, usability and durability and not to necessarily cost a fortune! Aren’t you?
