In a village on the plateau, Monkeys often invaded a large maize farm, destroying food that might feed over 30% of the villagers for a year. After donkey of years of using scarecrow to no avail, one of the villagers used a common sense and brought up an idea, that they should catch a monkey alive and tight a bell to its neck so when they let it go, the bell will ring to scare all the other monkeys out of the rocks.
After the hunters went in, set a trap and caught a monkey alive, they brought it to the clan, tighten a bell to its neck and let it go. As the monkey ran into the rocks, the bell rang with a disturbing sound. When the other monkeys heard the sound of the bell coming towards them and into their habitat, they ran out fleeing to an unknown destination, the ringing bell following them wherever they went to. And they never returned.
Using a Commonsense - The person that brought up the idea on how to scare the monkeys away with a bell might not have thought deeply before the idea came to his mind, but the idea might have sprouted out of a mere observation or an imagination which is from a commonsense. Also known as an ordinary sense, a commonsense is obviously a sense we use to observe and imagine things and how they work. It tells us plants are living things since they grow and die and it serves as a primary source of all wonderful creativity including all theories of the world. In language studies, using a commonsense makes one understand many vocabularies without using a dictionary.
Bioscientists used a commonsense to theorize how proteins, fat and carbohydrates work in our body system. And one can use a commonsense to be rich and healthy.
Developing a creative commonsense – It is not everyone that has a creative commonsense but everyone can develop it. And to develop a creative commonsense, you need to learn how to stand out on a hill to look at things down. If you stand too close, you won’t understand the beauty of a house or a city. If you listen to people too close, you won’t understand the main points and so you can’t summarize their discussions. Catographers stand out in a distance in order to sketch the map of a city or a state.
