I can still vividly recall the FIRST person I spoke to in 2014. It was at the crusade ground during 2013/14 cross-over service. She was fair, petite and amiable. I was seated two rows beside her during the service and I could not help but admire her lovable demeanour. She had on her an aura of luck and goodness which I so needed for the year ahead. ''5, 4, 3, 2, 1... Happy New Year!!!'' everyone at the crusade ground chorused signifying the entrance of 2014. ''Wish your neighbour a blessed new year'' the presiding pastor urged the congregation. ''She must be the first to speak to me and same will I be to her'' I thought as I forced my way towards her while ignoring the voices of others. ''Happy New Year'' I said while trying to catch my breathe. ''Happy New Year to you too'' she replied with a smile that would make Angelina Jolie a learner. That encounter marked the beginning of other encounters... Dear Bridget, my year has been great and you are part of My Story! ............................ So Nairalanders, Do you still remember the FIRST person you spoke to in 2014 and the occasion? How was the year for you? |
