So i was thinking we could discuss more often about our writings. Perhaps create a whatsapp or bbm group or something. I would like to have a lot of writer friends. Nothing is better than having ur writers friend help edit ur work b4 u post it on ur blog or something. We might even decide to create a blog together so who is in? PS- it would be better if our grade A writers stay away. I would love to call on u guys later on as Patrons. Hehe..... So new and not too famous nairaland only!!! Leggo |

I'm curious, define "Grade A" writer. |
Re: READ THIS! Writers Helping Writers Improve Writers Group by rapmike(m): 10:12am On Jan 03, 2015 |
chistar01: Grade A writers include those like princesa, PrettySpicey, Larrysun etc. Am in @ the op. Am definitely not a Grade A writer here. |

Grade 'A' writers? I have never heard of such in my life. Everyone who writes here is a writer, the only difference is that the readers give more preference to those who write from the genre that they(the readers) love. I see no reason why every writer shouldn't be included in the group. You called them grade A writers right? I agree with you. How will upcoming writers learn if not through these Grade 'A' writers like you called them? |
Re: READ THIS! Writers Helping Writers Improve Writers Group by LarrySun(m): 12:07pm On Jan 03, 2015 |
All writers are equal. |
Re: READ THIS! Writers Helping Writers Improve Writers Group by rapmike(m): 1:09pm On Jan 03, 2015 |
LarrySun: But some are more equal than others . While I accept the fact that we are all writers, I feel that if we include all writers, the group may turn to a 'fan club' where most people will be focusing on the likes of you and other Grade A writers. It may become discouraging for anyone who does not fancy that and he/ she may leave the group. A group just for the non too popular writers will be cool, tho I feel some of the Grade A writers should be involved somehow. |

Re: READ THIS! Writers Helping Writers Improve Writers Group by Diamondwriter(m): 1:48pm On Jan 03, 2015 |
though I still think just as rap said, if the 'grade A' writers are to be in d same group as the upcoming ones,it might turn into a fan group or something like that. I think i should have tagged the topic fie upcoming writers. of course we would like to learn from Larry and the others but through a different medium |
Re: READ THIS! Writers Helping Writers Improve Writers Group by LarrySun(m): 2:29pm On Jan 03, 2015 |
Well, I feel honoured to be considered a 'Grade A' writer. Writers like Soyinka, Adichie and Clarke, I'm sure, would be laughing their posteriors out at hearing me being considered a 'Grade A' writer. Even Shakespeare's dust would guffaw. But the truth is, I am still a learner, the lowlest learner, actually. Some of us are just more popular than others. Sometimes, popularity does not breed ingenuity. I've seen some writers here, albeit unpopular, who surpass me in various ways. Here in the world of fictitious narratives, we are just living behind the curtain, there is a massive window we take no notice of behind that curtain, and after the window is a vast world beyond the castle. I learn something from each writer here, no matter how jejune or hackneyed the writings may be. I believe everybody has a story to tell, and what is worth writing is worth reading. A 'Grade Z' writer can become a 'Grade A' in no time. Rapmike is one writer whose thoughts can be considered 'Grade A'; he has grown to allude against puerile plottings and characterizations. And he's never reserved at speaking his mind. He is a critical thinker. A writer to watch out for this year. The innovation is a very nice one; but it would be better to consider the unpopular writers, bring them together, share ideas, build each other, build the forum...build the country. Peace. 1 Like 1 Share |

LarrySun: Larrysun, stop whinning me. Lolz Am honored if my thoughts are Grade A, seriously am honored, especially from you. Diamondwriter, I feel that we should create one bbm group and one whatsapp group. And we can find a way of making everyone involved without anyone feeling frozen out. |

The point now is you want to create a platform where up and coming writers can meet and share ideas right? Well, its a nice innovation considering the class of writers who are bringing this up. In case you don't mind, and if money is not involved, I am in. Don't mind me, the situation of Nigeria caused that. Now back to the topic, I'll be willing to join the group, share idea with up and coming writers like myself with the hope of getting better someday. Diamondwriter, you can post your mail so I can send my number to you. I sight you Rapmike and LarrySun. |

LarrySun, "All writers are equal, but some writers are more equal than others." Truly, there are grade A writers like LarrySun, Ishilove, Princesa, Royver, Kamyemjay, Repogirl etc. and we need to learn from them. I subscribe to this. What are the aims? |
Re: READ THIS! Writers Helping Writers Improve Writers Group by Diamondwriter(m): 8:48pm On Jan 03, 2015 |
D9ty7:hehe no money is involved. u can mail me at writerstab@gmail.com |
Re: READ THIS! Writers Helping Writers Improve Writers Group by Diamondwriter(m): 8:51pm On Jan 03, 2015 |
OMA4U:primarily, getting better and sharing ideas. it's all about making better stories for us writers and establishing a sound network within ourselves would go a long way. |

So in summary? |
Re: READ THIS! Writers Helping Writers Improve Writers Group by rapmike(m): 1:38pm On Jan 04, 2015 |
Whatsapp won't be possible for me. I remember a group like that last year that I entered, anytime I wanted to use whatsapp, the whole phone hung for like five minutes and I could not even contribute a post because people were just throwing posts up and down. Had to leave the group after deleting whatsapp three times. Am on bbm tho, I prefer that. |
