Its obviously a sad newyear in Sabon gari, Zaria in Kaduna state on saturday morning as market men and women woke up to see their goods and shops being raised down by fire.

The fire started very early on saturday morning which led people living close to the market to cut short their sweet night sleep with the aim of stopping the fire in good time but to no avail.

On hearing the news, people from far and near came rushing to the market despite the very cold hammartan wind, to rescue thier goods.

As at the time of this post, the true cause of the fire is yet to be accertain.

My warm sympathy goes to them. May God replenish thier loss in a thousand fold.
