this verse has been bastardised and plagiarisedly criticised by some religious organisations, some like the catholics (italo, etc) link up their religious denomination under Peter but thats not what the Lord meant.

Peter was the first of the disciples of the Lord to preach the gospel and thru him the believers heard the gospel and now considering our present generation the Lord Jesus still needs Rocks on which to build His church that He will descent to rapture and to present to His God and Father.

You are that Rock, I am that Rock, Every beliver that accepts the Lord Jesus can be capable of becoming that Rock. Wow what an awesome priviledge!

How To Become That Rock - Jesus the Son of God who is Christ had loved all humans and He knew they wer destined to destruction but He came down and died for our sins ( all humans, buddhist, monks, christians, atheist, muslims, traditional religionist, thieves, prostitutes etc). Now will we allow His death to be in vain if we dont try to reach out to the unbelievers? Jesus is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

The believers that are saved and sanctified will walk along the road minding their own business and if they see a cigarette smoker or drunkard or thief, they (believers) will simply pass their way like the hypocritical pharisees without even having a sense of pity to their eternal destinies, such believers lack one paramount thing which is the baptism of the HoLy Ghost.

Wen u are baptised with the Spirit, Jesus will now use u like He used paul and peter to go and reach to the cigarette smokers and the prostitutes and for u to preach the gospel to them and if they repent and turn to Jesus and bcome holy thru ur msg then they will be the church Jesus will rapture, how marvelous an wonderful is the grace that God gives to the sinners whereby the worst sinner can stand in the holy presence of God because of Jesus.
The bible says that He hath by one blood made of all nations of men to dwell with Him ( acts 17 vs 26).

Conclusively, all christians are the Rock on which the gospel will be shared to sinners and the fiery temptations and resistance of the devil in hell fire will not prevail over us in JESUS NAME. AMEN.
