What Are Your Expectations From Nigerian Sports In 2015? by solbase10(m): 7:15pm On Jan 08, 2015
.........

The year 2014 was an eventful one in Nigerian sports.

In football, the Super Eagles of Nigeria failed to qualify for the 2015 African Cup of Nations which begins in Equatorial Guinea in two weeks time despite being African champions.

However the women's senior national football team, the Super Falcons won the African Women Championship for a record 7th time in nine editions while the U20 women side, Super Falconets won silver at the FIFA U20 Women World Cup where striker Asisat Oshoala emerged as the Most Valueable Player.

Nigeria had its best showing at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow as many athletes like Blessing Okagbare broke various records, and also in other Championships.

Aruna Quadri became the first African and black table tennis star to be ranked 30th in the world.

In 2015, the African continent will witness the All African Games in Congo Brazaville. The Nigerian U17 and U20 men's football national teams will campaign in the African Youth Championships and hope to qualify for the FIFA World Cups in both cadres.

The Super Falcons will represent Africa as champions alongside Cameroon and Ghana in the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup in Canada.

So what are your projections for these tournaments and many others which may not have been reviewed here but in which Nigerian sports stars will fly Nigeria's flag in?

In which sport are you expecting medals rush at the All African Games?

What are your message to the different sports federations ahead of the Games?
