Everyday we wake up to hear stories of corruption, we hear of billions of dollars missing from piblic coffers while we have people on the same our same country who dont have a Thousand naira to rub together. We all ask ourselves what is the way forward, how do we get out of this mess and we hear all lot of solutions being offered but I tell you for Nigeria to move forward we have to abandon some parts of our culture No 1: We need to reduce power given to Elders and people in authority, too much power is handed to People based on the fact that they are older than the others around them.Take for example in the yoruba culture if an issue/quarrel comes up, the younger one between them will be expected to apologise and take the blame even if he is the one that is being wronged Why should that be the case, it the same behaviour that is brought to fore at the national level where some people can just come and trample widely on any one with out regards for the person's right just because they ae in power.THIS HAS TO STOP IF WE ARE TO MOVE FORWARD. Also is the issue of Hypocrisy our culture allows too much of Hypocrisy especially that of religion you will find people criticizing the good works of others for No reason other that they are of different religious beliefs. It in Nigeria you would find a Father telling his children not to lie and steal whereas at his place of work he is the one who leads others to commit fraud, We are very fond of Holie than hou attitude we question those who do wrong, we abuse those embezzling funds but if majority of us shouting are given half the chancr we will do worse. This is a wake-up call to everyone that will read this we need to change our way of thinking and life. #my one kobo advice.

What about prejudice? Most of us are very unsympathetic to others.

Even though im from southwest i know that Yoruba syndrome of conditioning people to be subservient and slavy is the problem we have in Nigeria.

And another thing:
for a country that is full of religious people we always seem to feel that we're the ones who should serve justice. surely if God has a problem with something that someone has done then he'll handle it himself in the afterlife? this is just Christianity idk much about other religions but it's deffo a prob that we insist on mob justice angry
