Yeah but remember that they were world power then, just like today not everyone believes in the Christian or Islam God. I think one day all these will pass away and we will refer to them as myth or fiction

Bros, At what point did Greece become world power? Greece was never united until much after Roman conquest
They were scattered as Spartans, Macedonians, Thessalonians, Creteans, Athenians and over 20 more. so how did they all become the world power?

You would have been right if u said Hellenism (the culture of the greeks) was a world power due to it's spread by Rome and Macedonia but not the Greek people being a world power

Brother whichever way we look at it Greek was once a world power. Weather it is politically or culturally, politically their military might got to zenith even though they didn't Unite in one front and exert their influence on other nations, they were at a time in history one of the greatest independent empire then known world. Apart from their infighting I bet no nation then will want to cross their part. Then culturally they also made their mark

makof, the Greeks weren't united till king Filip of Macedonia came around. when Filip died at the hands of an assassin,Alexander took the Greeks his father had united at the battle of Chaeronea to embark on a worldwide conquest. the fact that the Eastern parts of Rome which later became Byzantine was Greek in outlook and language is a testament to the conquests of Alexander Megali

Maybe you want reference but Macedonia was an empire not the capital of a nation. And there's no trace of unity in the Hellas during that time
Alexander tried uniting his territories with Asia culturally but uniting all Greeks as one Nation was never an issue

Byzantine's love for Hellenism wasn't a result of Greek supremacy, the earlier Romans were always fascinated by the Greeks and incorporated much of the Hellenic culture and language...Scholars have even come to say the Roman political and military captors were cultural captives to the greeks
