How To Play:

A picture will be posted and left for a week. Every competitor will script on the picture. The two monikers with the highest likes get the 100 and 200 naira recharge code every Saturday, when another picture will be posted.

Darkness falls on an alien world
And shadows creep beneath the silky mist
As the tree of life heralds another dusk
The birds of night take flight, they must.

For hallow and thistern and small bright sunsun
These three heavenly bodies align in a cistern
And all know tis the hour of laykrull
The old dragon whose touch alone blisters

With fury he snarls through the dark
And turns to ash every green bark
All except the mighty tree of life
Who by morning light brings renewal and soothes those in strife.

Let there be light!
That was in the beginning of the world
When nothing was deadly,
When the earth was healthy.

Doves graced the sky, like the moving stars in the day,
lawns stretched all over, with perches of beautiful roses in many colours.
Humans knew nothing but smile, and without fear they conquered tomorrow,
Babies drank nothing but milk, not worrying if there was ever tomorrow.


But then came darkness, falling with fury from the sky!
Slowly eveloping the once lovely earth, with a strong vow to blot out the light!

Humans invented envy, envy invited greed,
Humans embraced lust, lust welcomed jealousy.
The world became angry, and here comes war
We ceased to remain as family, never to act as one.

Blood stained the lawn, the roses withered away.
The grasses grow dark, the birds all flew in awe.
Nothing but death surrounds the earth, as the darkness slowly bid its time.
Creeping slowly but effectively, as it gracefully blots out the light.

Who then will save us, even if we cry aloud?
Who then will bring the light, now that our minds are dark?
Darkness taking over, we all are embracing it.
Darkness slowing hovering, raring its head in all our daily needs.

The fog of darkness, has crept into the light..
The human's need for darkness, will finally kill the earth...
But there is hope, we see a new world behind us...
We were not left alone, the creator has heard the cries of the few lights amongst us.

NATURE

The winds are blowing, I could see the trees dancing, and birds flying/running helter skelter,
what could they be up to?, as I looked sheepishly through the window.

I remembered my geography class,
could this be cyclone, chinook, tornado or hurricane as I asked myself inwardly and kept staring,
mother nature has beautified its environments, I blurted.

The sky has been beclouded by fogs and I could see some droplets of water,
oh! It's raining, but my curiousity wouldn't let me go away from the window.

I could hear some bickering noise, the trees were singing, as the naughty bird perching on it, gave me a frivolous smile.

Earth is really blessed.
How would other planets be,
if I only I could take a trip to my most-loved "mars",
I banged the window and sleep took its cause.

Dark moon

Dark moon, it comes
as the sun evades,
the bats flee atop trees like errands prepaid
Owls scour the night less, as darkness abate
trees becomes desolate
of its inhabitants away.

Atop the mountain the moon settles
viewed in the perspective of tree scanty
like darkness shadows a part, sun rays apart it reflects
on the ambiguity of reference it depends
to the gathering of the moonlight event,
tales are told at the old ones intent

fury snaps when the dark night gathers thick cloud
It rained as i view from my shutter
in the dawn, early morning precise.

Night sky

A sky full of clouds,
a mesmerizing vision
a sight to behold

Radiant, billowing
from water droplets cooling,
was this beauty made.

The owl hoots out loud,
Birds of the air scurry off,
they do not belong.

Calling to the moon,
perched on a branch of this tree,
its favourite spot.

A whirl of cool air,
flashes of bright light, the moon,
silently replies.

The Dawn Of A New Day.
Darkness creeps away.
The Moon still bright.
Not as dim as in the Night.

The Sun Sets in the Sky.
To give light to the Earth.
Birds fly in the sky.
Filled with mirth.

The leaves take in the sunlight.
And make nests to the tree's delight.
As the Earth moves around the Sun.
The Day has just begun.

As I hear the thrust waking at day break,
Singing A New Song.

A Haughty Walk
like a serrated saw,so is her braid,
Nimbly, she grope not like a maid,
For the street her feet knows,
Walking with broadened nose,
With a curly hair,brown or red?,
Kissing her neck,as pride got her led.
Eagle-eyed,searching for a prey,
Men will fall,but not if they pray.
When you see her,look away,
If she touches you,run away,
Lo! She's pretty,
But is she piety?!

She is an epitome of beauty, the definition of pretty,
The young ladies' model, and every man's dream...

But like every female entity, she habours a secret,

Red blood flows in the veins, yet we spit out white saliva
