A Peacemaker is someone who reconciles two parties who disagree, quarrel or fight. He helps to prevent arguments, disputes or war, and he usually does this without condemning any party.

In most cases one side offends the other while trying to protect its own interest or to get some personal benefits. However, a skillful peacemaker would not call him selfish or any other name to make him feel guilty or condemned, as if to make the aggrieved party feel better, rather he will pursue the sole objective of reconciling the two parties.

Indeed, once a mediator is introduced between the perceived offender and the obviously offended, it is a clear indication that no judgement pronouncement or condemnation is intended. Once they can both be agreed, all the offences are done away with and the offender can no longer be prosecuted, and let alone condemned for those offences; he has been set free from whatever the law prescribes as punishment for that offence.

However, if the offender, for any reason, refused to be reconciled with the offended, he has rejected the work of the mediator and that in itself constitutes an offence against the person of the mediator and God help him if the mediator was appointed by the offended, because his offence has now become 3-in-1; the original offence, disregard for the mediator and acting on contemp of reconciliation move by the offended.

The offender at this point has put himself on a precarious situation because there can be no more clemency plea on his behalf, he will have to bear the full wrath of the law. What an avoidable fate!

All men and women born into this world come in a state of enmity against their Creator because we have acquired a sinful NATURE from our first parents, Adam and Eve. Unfortunately the spiritual depravity has continued till date. As growing children we never had to be taught how to disobey, to be unruly or reject instructions, it came NATURALLY. We are, by nature, enemies of God.

However, God had sent His only begotten Son Jesus Christ as a MEDIATOR between man and God. Although we are sinners by nature, God did not send Jesus to condemn us. Rather, He want us, if we accept Him, to escape the otherwise inevitable judgement. It doesn't stop there He wants to give us access to eternal blessings that are available in Him. That's why Jesus is called the Prince of Peace.

Ernestly, tenderly Jesus is calling U to be reconciled to your Maker. Why should you expose yourself to eternal damnation when God has made a way of escape? JESUS is the way, there's no other. If you accept Him, God has promised to hold none of your sins against you, however grievous they might be, and to give you the privileges of a child, no longer a slave or an offender.
