Something PHENOMENAL happened in Ghana yesterday - Internet.org was officially launched, making it the 5th country to receive the facility after Zambia, Tanzania, Kenya and Colombia.

So, what is internet.org? It is an initiative spearheaded by Mark Zuckerberg with a view to making the internet completely FREE.

He believes that the world can be a better place if everyone, everywhere can have FREE access to the most basic internet services like education, health, jobs and communication.

So effective immediately, everyone in Ghana has FREE access to these internet services (via the Airtel network).

I can only imagine Nigeria with internet.org, where anyone in any rural locality can access the internet at no cost.

Anyway, I just typed this so that when your oyinbo friends at work are mentioning internet.org, you can nod and contribute to the conversation.
