To the experienced and the auto-gurus in the house; Please I really need your contribution. I am a lover of Honda city. I so much admires its slicky and portable body coupled with the adoring dashboard design but I know these are not good enough reasons for a first car owner with a monthly income of little above 100k to go for a car. Now,1. can the roadsid mec work on honda city as they do wt babyboy, halla, bullet etc 2. Hw rogged is d auto gearing 6tem and d suspension (I dont stay n city bt I am inlov wt honda city) 3. Why is d car nt so common arround? Thnks 4 ur various contributions. Anticipated model is betwn 2002_2007. |

Replace CVT transmission oil every 40k miles or if you get any funny jerking (automatic). You will never have any problems with the engine, use 5W30 synthetic oil and replace at recommended intervals. Its a very good car, used one from scratch to 120k km only replaced the transmission. 19 Likes 5 Shares |

Presently have a 2008 model and the car can run. Has a cvt transmission. Cvt fluid is expensive 14k for 4liters. I heard the front shocks goes for 30k. Car is not common cos it's not in America. You either buy new or naija used. 1 Like |

Honda city car is one of d best car manufactured. It is smooth while driving n fuel ecomomy is second to none.It is less expensive to maintain.Recommended transmission fluid is Z1. |

disloman: Honda specialist I hope you have not been killing peoples cvt with Z1? Honda specificaly recommends HONDA CVTF fluid to be used on their CVT transsmissions, not the outdated Z1 that has been replaced by DW1 for regular transsmisions. http://www.honda.com.my/service_maintenance/transmission 5 Likes 1 Share |

disloman:I don't think it is Z1. Please verify. It uses the Honda CVT fluid. It is just called CVT fluid. Its a nice little car with plenty of room inside and a generous boot. The fuel efficiency is amazing if you keep speed below 100km/hr. 1 Like |

I really aprc8 all d contributions so far, God bless U all. so far so good, I think the only issue with this sweet car is the transmission. Toh, I think manual transmission should do justice to that. After all I'm not a big fans of auto tranx. @ Marplo, thankz for shedding light on the reason why the car is not easily seen around. - U either buy brand new or Naija used, thanks. Please, I will appreciate more contributions. |
