You a Retailer? Newbie entrepreneur? small-scale importer? Here are 4 Tips to making more Sales this Valentine simply by using SMS. Forget the fact that the Nigerian Elections is coming up in the month of Love, precisely the presidential election holding in February 14. No! We don't love our presidents that much. grin

You can still earn more as a retailer tying your goods and services to the valentine season, esp. if you sell luxury or household items.
This is actually a paraphrase of the article on our bloghttp://smsmarketingportal.com/blog/6-easy-tips-to-use-in-making-more-sales-this-season/

Here are the tips

1. Plan ! Plan! plan. And Plan ahead if possible This means. your sms marketing plan for this year's valentine season should have started yesterday.
What type of plans should you make? They are; what type of platforms will you use to send sms? how will you get customer's (whether new or old) details? What compelling offers will you use (free gifts, discounts, BOGOF, etc). BOGOF means Buy One Get One Free.

2. Use pictures or strong art themes and love graphics in your sms. You can do this by putting links in your sms messages to make your sms message stand out. Also craft the content of your messages to connect with the valentine theme you celebrating.

3. Give gift certificates/e-coupons to preferred customers for them to give to their loved ones. If you sell wrist watches for instance. You can give free e-coupons via sms to old customers who have bought before asking them to come back and buy more preferably for their loved ones this season. Ask them to mention the e-coupon (discount coupon) when ordering and they'll save money while showing love to their significant other. And if you have never bothered to collect a list of customers buying from you.. well! All i can say is hope your competitors are smarter.

4. Throw a Valentine party and invite your best customers via sms. Yes! crazy as it may sound you'll see that this works. Despite the elections and security situation in nigeria do you still think people would not go out to shows, and events, even on Feb 14? After the elections are over and movement is restored? If you are too skeptical, hold your event on a weekday or friday. Your customers will come and they'll spend on you.

Hopefully! These few tips will help you to make more sales this valentine. Likely none of your competitors are doing any now. What do you have to loss if you try them?
