Berbatov Voted Best Bulgarian Footballer, Again by aalani(m): 1:33pm On Dec 28, 2008
Dimitar Berbatov has been voted best Bulgarian footballer for the third time in a row. The Manchester United player beat Levski Sofia keeper Georgi Petkov and Slavia Sofia midfielder Blagoy Georgiev. Berbatov, who is only 27 years old and has a whole future ahead of him, has now won the trophy five times and moves into joint first place with Bulgarian legend Hristo Stoichkov.

So, what is your view? Did Berbatov deserve this honor? To me, he has not been fantastic despite all the noise made about him before he left Tottenham.

Ok so who else would have won? It would be between Berbatov and Petrov (Bulgaria's only well-known exports), and Petrov was apparently not even in the running and frankly not following Bulgarian league, I haven't heard of the two mentioned so really it would Berbatov or um, nothing. And he did an ok enough job for Tottenham even if he isn't doing a wonderful one for us at United (even in spite of tonight against Boro).

why must you post any anything about berbaWASTE. a 32 million pounds of waste in Manu color, who will not even be the best player in Namibia or even Sudan. I'm disapointed in you.

@ krebson,

Call him anything u like but his performances 4 spurs are true testaments of his genius and undeniable talent. . . . . if Baba SAF deems him good enough to still play him inspite of his below par performances - who am i or indeed u to dispute!?
