Bidemi turned with fear to face a lady. He was short of words.

'I didn't kill her, she fainted', he explained with a shaky voice. His body was trembling that he had to use his left hand to hold his body so that it would stay still

' You are a liar... Help', the lady shouted.

He rushed to her, and covered her mouth. She bit him.

'Ahhh!!!' He exclaimed. The pain of her bite ran through his body.

' Help', she screamed like someone that had just been bitten by a wild animal.

Bidemi had no other option than to run. He pushed past her and ran for the stairs. She fell as she tried holding him down, she stood up again and ran after him.

'Help', she shouted as she tried to follow him, running swiftly.

He ran for his dear life. She ran after him still.

'Help', she kept on shouting.

A guard was coming hastily to help her. Bidemi pushed past him and bolted out of the Library.

'That guy was has killed someone in the toilet', she shouted. On hearing that, another Abefele guard

coming towards him tried to stop him but he bent down and escaped from his grasp.

He ran out, taking the exit that lead to the football field.

'Stop him', the guards shouted. Luckily for him, he knew these guard were everywhere, and that they do not own a gun. He ran towards the faculty of education which was not far from the Library. Two of the guards ran after him as if he was a

memeber of the Boko Haram sect. He ran into the faculty, looked about, then ran into one of the toilets. He locked the door, sat on the WC, his hands were trembling. His muscles were tensed, his heart was pounding and his breathe was coming out loud. He had to hold his breathe for sometimes.

After about twenty minutes, he was not sure if they were still looking for him.

'Did you see him?' He heard a man asked. This made him stopped his breathe so that his hard breathes would not give him away.

' No...'

' Did you Seck all the class?' The man asked.

'No. Let's contact the others, can you really describe him?'

'No...'

'Ehn! Let us contact the others to watch out for a running boy on a blue polo and blue jeans'.

Then, they left. He wanted to leave the toilet, but he knew he would be risking his life if he should go out.

He suddenly remembered the girl as he sat and dropped his head on his palm.

'What have I done to myself?' He agonised silently. He wondered why he had put himself in trouble over a girl that he did not even know her name.

Despite this problem, he still felt the need to save the girl. He was not sure she was safe.

' I told you she was witch', his thought.

'I said she is not a witch', he whispered angrily.

He repeatedly rubbed his face. He tapped a fist against his lip lightly while he thought of how he would help her. He heard the vibrating phone. He was sure she would be in that Library. What had happened to the girl he fell, was she dead? He wondered if he had become a killer at his age.

He decided to stay in the toilet till the time they will close the door: 7pm.

He remained seated and slept off.

Then a knock.
Who is knocking?
Re: TUGRIL- ( The Underground Rooms In The Library) by Nobody: 2:04pm On Mar 12, 2015
He was afraid, swallowing excessively.

'Who...Who is there?' He said fearly because he knew if it was the Abefele guards he was dead.

' I want to lock the toilet', a woman's voice

annouced.

He sighed loudly, opened the door and left.

When he got out, he decided not to pass the front of the library. There are more than four ways that one can pass to his hall Zik hall, but he wanted to

pass the fastest one, so he went around the sport complex to his hall.

Though, he knew the guards might have started watching all the hall's gate, he knew still have high chances of entering his hall because there were other two entrance into his hall- one is a small

gate by the river, the other is an opening that lead from the Independence hall to his hall(one can decide to enter the independence hall through the road opposite Queen Idia hall).

He entered his room to meet his confidant and roommate, Charles. He explained everything to him.

'So, what will you do now', Charles asked as he used his right hand to push aside the food he was eating before Bidemi entered the room.

' I am going back in there'.
Re: TUGRIL- ( The Underground Rooms In The Library) by Nobody: 2:06pm On Mar 12, 2015
' You must be crazy', Charles shouted.

' Shhh', Bidemi said fearfully.

' You can't just go in there, alone'.

'How will I go there then?'.

'At least, get the back up of the security guards'.

'That is if did not put me in a guard room before I say anything. Remember they are still looking for me, he said as he brought his head down and placed his hands on it- behind the back of his head.

' Are you sure the other lady is dead?'

'I don't know ooo', he lamented, 'I don't know'.

He rose from his seat, pull-off his clothes and changed into black polo and a black jean trouser, then he took a face cap and wore it. He took his phone.

' No matter what happens, don't come after me'.

Charles nodded.

He left the room for the Library. When he passed the two Abefele guards sitting

near the library, he knew he might pass everyone.

His bag was still in the bags room. He would have loved to go in there to pick the lady's bag so as to check her details but he did not know her bag.

As he entered the library, he greeted the porter, gently. Gritting his teeth.

' I hope you are not the one?', the porter said, making Bidemi wonder if he was not going to start running again, because he was still weak from the race he had run in escape from the guards.

'The one...as in?' He asked.

The man laughed out loudly, and this heightened Bidemi's fear. He held his breathe and fixed his gaze on the man who seem to enjoy himself. He had watched in many movies that some peoplevcatch others jokingly, so he was at alert. His eyes darting to the door to be sure he had a free passage. The door that lead into the faculty of arts is the only door opened and that can be opened at that time; the other one was always closed byb 4.Pm. So he shifted his gaze to the only door opened

'I was just joking', the man said. Bidemi released the breathe he had hold. Although, he was afraid,

he stood still so as to listen to the man since the man looks like one that love to talk.

' I am just resuming my duty, I heard a guy was chased from the female toilet and that he injured a girl'.

At the mention of the girl, Bidemi's heart throbbed.

' What of the girl? What happened to her?'

' Oh! I heard she had been taken to Jaja hospital and I heard she was still alive. Lucky girl'.

'What of the guy now?' Bidemi asked.

'We have not seen him, and I'm not sure we willsee him so far they did not see him this afternoon. Who knows, he might enter here like any other student'.

Bidemi nodded his head, and was happy about the news of the girl as he left the man's side.

'Thank you Jesus'. He went to one of the free access rooms, looked

for a good corner and rested his head. He must have slept to close to an hours when his

bladder could not hold the urine that was disturbing him. He shook his legs, but the pain

was too much he had no option than to go the toilet.

He sighed as he got to the door of the male toilet.

Then, he heard a very loud, husky voice

'I knew you would come back'.

Chapter 10
Yemi knew these men were desperate, and he himself was to get to his wife. He hurriedly looked back to see if he could beat the distance between himself, this attackers, and the next bus stop.

Seeing that he did not have any option.

' Bomb', Yemi shouted, running towards the men.

Automatically, the expression changed, they stopped and raced back.

' Bomb ooo', Yemi kept on shouting as he charged past them, and headed for the road.

Twenty minutes to go.

'Okada...', Yemi shouted as he motioned to the rider of Bajaj motorcycle.

The bike rider stopped, and moved back towards Yemi.

' U.I'

' Hundred naira', the biker rider.

' Jo sare bi were', Yemi shouted.

The biker seems to see this as an opportunity; Yemi just gave him the licence he had been looking for: Yemi just told him to run like a mad man.

The bike rider raced as though if not doing so would stop Yemi from paying him his fare. Yemi's heartbeat surged as the man got near University of Ibadan. All of the nerves in his body were ready to throw him into the air, the moment the guy stops.

'Enter.... Enter', Yemi shouted as the biker rider wanted to stop because people were rushing out the gate.

' Police...Police', Yemi shouted as one of the Abefeles wanted to send the bike rider back because.

Yemi jumped down for the bike, the moment te bike rider stopped, and headed for his wife, Rose, then he ran back. He will need many things

Fourteen minutes to go.

' Who has Nokia battery', Yemi shouted as he got to the office of the Abefeles, bringing out his own phone, swiftly remove the battery.

Someone gave him one.

Yemi called his boss.

' Hello sir... Please the person's number...'

' Good what happened?'

' The number'.

' I will send it now'.

Yemi checked his wristwatch: 11 minutes and twenty five seconds to go.

The Sms entered, Yemi extracted the number and called the person.

' Hello, I'm the officer on ground...', Yemi shouted.

' Good... Get screw drivers and open it...'

' I'm coming stay on the line', he shouted into the phone, and faced the Abefeles.

' Screw Driver'.

They looked at one another then at him.

' There is none', a short one answered him. Yemi's head became hot as his suddenly started pounding.

Chapter 12
Yemi ran out of the school building, almost ran into a coming car. And cross the road to the other side of the road, to the shopping complex. He ran to one of the people selling electrical material.
' Multi purpose screw driver', Yemi shouted the moment he sighted the multi purpose screwdriver.
The seller went to bring.
' A beg hurry', Yemi shouted.
The moment the seller gave him the screwdriver, he bolted towards the school arena.
' Police need it', he shouted as he ran.
' Thief', the man shouted and raced after Yemi as though fire was on his tail.
' Thief', the man shouted, following and calling people's attention to Yemi.
'Catch am, na thief..'
' Thief', some market women joined him in shouting.
Yemi ran as fast as he could, but when he saw people coming near him.
' Bomb', he screamed with all his might, making the nearest people near him stand still and start moving backward.
Six minutes to go.
Yemi crossed the road, and ran towards his wife.
'Where' He shouted as he entered the compound, pausing a little as he asked this question.
' There...' They simultineously pointed to a big tree which was near the car park and the major road that leads into the school.
Yemi ran to meet his.
Rose was sweating profusely, and her cloth was wet from pespiration. Her hair ruffled, and she was tied to a big grey tree and was crying.
Yemi's heart was pounding, his hand shaking.
' Baby, save me', Rose cried.
' It will be alright... Just stay calm'.
' I'm afraid...'
' I will be here with you... Hold still', Yemi said as he went to black casing of the bomb and start opening.
The interior part was all wired and rough, that Yemi was afraid was afraid that touching any of it might cause the bomb to explode.
Rose was not stable, she was shaking and that was making him not have the ability to control his thinking towards a positive thing to do.
Yemi decided to call the bomb diffuser.
'Sorry, the person you are calling in not available at the moment please try again later'.
Yemi felt like melting into the ground.
He checked his wristwatch.
Three minutes and twenty four minutes remaining.
He dialed the number again, but it was not reachable.
Will he watch his wife die-rather, will he die with his wife?
Re: TUGRIL- ( The Underground Rooms In The Library) by Nobody: 10:56am On Mar 17, 2015
Chapter 13
'Oh! My God. His number is not going through', Yemi whispered, and turned to Rose, his eyes widened, and his face red.
Rose opened her mouthed and swallowed air twice, then wailed.
Yemi move towards the bomb again, smirked, and swallowed hard as he looked at the bomb as if it was an unsolvable puzzle. The darkness of the day began to creep in with little patches of black cloud here and there in the sky.
' Let me release from the tree', he managed to say.
' They said if anybody tries to release me the bomb will automatically explode'.
His brain suddenly became void of ideas, what will he do?
Yemi was perspiring, and his breathe was coming out hard and loud. Sweats had cover all his body, and his hand was shaking.
Two minutes to go.
Yemi was torn between staying with the love of his life, Rose, and saving his life.
Tears dropped from his eyes freely as he let go of everything and wondered if that was the end of life.
The timer kept reading.
' Leave her', someone was shouting from afar, Yemi's mouth was widely apart.
He tried the person's number again, but the number was not connecting.
Then, a biker rushed towards them, Yemi turned to see who it was.
A lanky man jumped from the bike and rushed towards them.
' Run away...Bomb', the lanky shouted at the biker, who complied immediately.
One minutes twenty three senconds.
' The screw driver', the lanky man shouted as he got to Rose's side.
The lanky man tore and,
' What!!!', the lanky man exclaimed.
' What?'
' Run...' The lanky man shouted as he rose from his squatting position, trying to drag Yemi with him; however, Yemi stood his ground. He looked at the timer as it kept rushing and kept on counting from
0:12
0:11
0:10
Yemi's eyes was now watery, and he held his breathe, ready to die with his wife. So, he stared into her eyes as the time kept on reading the time.
0:5
0:4
' I love you', Yemi said solemnly to Rose who kept on crying profusely.
' Leave there' shouted the bomb specialist.
0:3
Who could have done this?

Chapter 14

Bidemi turned quickly to see whose voice it was, but he saw no one. By now his breathing had become harder.
He was happy when he heard another voice.

' I just wanted to check...'

'Shut Up!!!' The first voice said, ' you injured her and ran away'.

'I'm not...'

' Shut up!!!' The first voice said again, ' you want to practice serial killing in Nigeria- impossible... Move out'.

Bidemi saw their shadows, so he ran into the toilet, and peeked.

The guy was as tall as he was. Unfortunately for the guy, he was also putting on a green polo and a blue jeans trousers.

Bidemi felt bad for the guy as he went back to his resting-hiding position, after he urinated, and he slept.

He must slept for another hour when a drum started making noise: It was 10:00Pm. The drum was beaten at that time to tell students to start

leaving the library.

This drum was very big and was given to the Library as a gift from South Africa. No matter where a reader is in the library, he/she would hear this drum.

He hid well in the dark. By 10.30pm the drum's sound came again, louder this time.

He kept on waiting. He was sure something was happening there in the toilet and he must discover it that night.

He laid his head on his chair, and kept track of time.

Suddenly, the light of Library was put off. He was sure that meant a big problem. He wondered how he would get to the toilet.
Then he remembered his phone. He would use it to see his way around.
So, he waited patiently.
Hunger began to hold his stomach. He had not eaten his afternoon food, neither had he eaten before going to the Library. He blamed himself for not eating before going to the Library.

He was still keeping track of time.

He checked his time again it was 10:50. The air that was rushing in through the net of the faculty was making him shake, but he dared not leave

where he was staying.

He was going to stand up when someone flashed a torchlight to a part ahead of him. He stood up

hurriedly and flattened against the wall. The person flashed the torchlight to his direction. He knew he dared not move.

The owner of the torchlight switched it off and went out.

He heaved a sigh of relief.

By 12Pm, his eyes were heavy but he was sure he would be the only one around there.

He put on the torchligh of his phone, and went down silently not minding that there was no one in the library. He went on to the toilet, then he began to search for lines, cracks in the wall but he found none.

He went near the wall from where the phone had vibrating in the evening. He started tracing the wall.

He stood straight. and analysed it. He looked at the possible places that a door might be but found none.

Suddenly, someone flashed a torchlight from outside the window of the toilet.

He bent, and ran to hid under the window of the toilet, put off the torchlight of his phone, and used his hand to cover his mouth because he was breathing loudly.

'Who is there', a man's voice said faintly; the glass of the window had muffled his voice. The torchlight went from one side of the toilet to the other-staying for a few seconds at each cubicle.

The torchlight went off. Bidemi waited for sometimes then he ran to back to the wall. He did not put on the torchlight of his phone this time rather he used the small light coming from the screen of his phone.

His hand touched a very small hole. He put his index finger into it, shifted it to the the left nothing happened; he shifted it to the right, nothing happened. He was going to lose hope but he knew that was the only hole had seen in a long time. He shifted it up nothing happen.

'This is the last straw', he whispered.

Maybe the girl had met with a witch, who carried her away, he thought.

He shifted it down, it bulged. Then two things sounded simultaneously.

One came from within the library- outside the

toilet. The other came from the wall. A very small handle

came out of the wall. He pulled it, the wall shifted

down. The stairs that led to the toilet creaked.

He sneaked out to see what was happening. He was surprised to see a torchlight coming down the stairs indicating someone was coming down.

He ran back and started drawing the wall down, luckily the wall made no sound. The noiselessness of the wall amazed him, but he had no time to

think over this.

The light from the torch began to flood the toilet.

He looked around for the handle of the wall. The light started pointing towards his direction.

He did not see the handle.

The light was getting nearer.

His heart was pounding like the feet of a man being chased by a Lion.

He found the handle.

'Thank Jesus', he muttered. He pulled the door.

'What!!!' The man said he entered the toilet. The man jumped forward and held the wall.

He had no other option than to stop and then spat into the air, hoping it would enter the man's eyes.

' Yehhh!!! My eye ooo', the man cried, removing his hands from the wall.

Bidemi pushed the door up with all of his strenght, holding his teeth together and the door clicked.

He swallowed air and released it rapidly, panting. He moved back as the man started hitting the wall, he was sure the man was using his fist to hit it.

He turned back and his leg hit something. He looked down and saw the phone that had been vibrating.

18 Missed calls.

He looked up and was surprise at what he saw.

What's this?
