Destiny,Fate are they in control of us or are we in control of them. Is destiny like the sea that it's waves flow in a pre- determinined manner or does it flow according to the desire of thier heart. Are we like birds free to fly where we want or compelled to only determined routes.or is fate only for those too weak to determine their destiny.if so Fate grant me Love and Happiness. And if naught,i would find Love and Happiness.when i do i shall call it Destiny and when it dies,i'll call it Fate. [actually the concept came to me while watching naruto[naruto vs neji] |

SOMETHING TO BELIEVE IN I lost my faith in Love, and in it's religion too. I told it's cupid they can sing their song to someone else new. I watch my heart turn to stone, i told God to leave me to burn in this wicked word alone. This love has left my heart just bleeding, and the sad part is am still breathing, wishing if only there was something to believe in. Now my companion's misery and in this it seems bliss. If only juliet still had some poison,i wouldn't mind a kiss, because i let myself up, i thought i was all, but love simply proved me wrong. As am walking with my heart still bleeding, happy to see there's no star in the sky this evening. now i have something to believe in, i believe in Misery [was in a depressed state.i really hate this piece.too depressing] |

GONE I didn't know you were gone when the roses died. I couldn't even tell from the sorrows of thier eyes, Even when you said goodnight, never realised it was goodbye. Even as tears came from my eyes i don't believed i cried. Even as beautiful as u look in the coffin i don't believe you died. As i lay pretending to sleep it ain't no fun. Still can't believe that you're really gone. But i believe that whenever you've gone i'll get there too. Cuz our love's too much, much more than me or you. [a good sweetheart friend of mine died.just wrote to illustrate my degree of love] |

Lonely call… He was twenty-three years of age Not lucky to be among the computer age He believed it was time to be a man His mother said “no” with a strong adage The father did nothing but warn In sudden anger he would flare Soon, his face became so rare Man and woman couldn’t take it any longer So they disowned him in tears Since he said he wasn’t growing any younger He approached his love Tina She: dark, hairy, slim or even thinner They begun spinning the web of love Stronger it grew and even thicker Till love got so high above She had a boy for him On hearing, his face was full of beams They went on to have their wedding On their honeymoon, they sang hymns Not knowing they were close to tears shedding He never knew the marriage bids Misunderstanding germinated like weeds They took their words with a pinch of salt He closed down her fees and feeds Finally, everything came to a halt! She left after calling him wretched He roamed the street dejected He had a child but not a wife With sorrow he had been injected He had asked “could this be life?” Taking to heavy drinking Not an exception was smoking He came home in the dead of the night Never caring about his son’s living The son now believed life wasn’t right He lost his job Behaving worst than a dog Now he couldn’t go to his family His grave was been dug Life had stung him with infirmity Then with such heavy breath, He began seeking death Never seen one so brave To bring the waters above the neck Emotion was so watery as he kissed the watery grave copy right: jey_d_poet (jeffrey irabor) |

NIGHT i have succumbed to the power of the great night here i lay with eyes dead and restless in the tall hands of Morpheus i have been pressed to my lay the moon has glued me to my pillow and my head is beaming out rays both on my hands behold i twinkling singing stars so i be oblivious when men and their mishciefs stole in the dark through the thick and thin of the magic night. oh where am i some few steps pass the promise land some few seconds to death hey i have been in the nucleus of night where slumber waves and slumber recieves night, enslaver of kings chief slayer of all eyes you made me walk beyond the horizons of life as a king have ruled as a slave have served i have been a young honorable gentleman passing through deserts crossing through forests swimming pass seas i have sang till my throat sore i have dance till my back stroked i have walked all my legs swollen night a myth or a fairy tale |

i see you through my window sill rising up from your warm bed, wid feline grace, the thought of love kept my heart captive, beclouding my logical mind, i longed for you, for your tentative yet endearing smile, i longed to watch you look into my eyes, to see the ever flaming fire of love aglow in my eyes, in you i see, wisdom, vision, intellect, the silhoutte of your presence, like a feathery touch, awakens me from my reverie, i wished i could go on in my bliss of imaganations, widout giving a care to reality hoping someday you will be mine, together we shall bask in the euphoria, of real love touch my heart and you will be amazed at its beating rate only you my cheerie can quench my thirst for you. |

A busy world this is A place for no cares Time passes so quickly Leaving us behind with our thoughts Of dreams unfulfilled Of people not loved enough Of moments not cherished Of nights not slept upon Of days not lazed around Of joys not really enjoyed Of wonderful things not treasured And most of all The thoughts of our loved ones not really forgotten, , But i'm still and always Thinking about you. |

wrote this years back in my undergrad days in ife. Even as a child i dreamt of this day the day when boys wld grow up to be man and girls women, a day when the sound of war wld be heard no more, i dreamt of freedom freedom from slavery, freedom from oppression as i child i walked about wit hate in ma heart where did this heart come from, i know not wat brought about this hate, injustice i must say injustice to the human race, injustuce to humanity can this hate be changed, i say NO for not from ma mother's womb did it come from for its was the world that gave it to me and to the world would it return, but then wat wld the generations to come say would they not say their freedom was redeem by bloodshed LET them say so, for does not life lie in the blood to give a man life is it not by blood and to end one is it not by blood, then why do u all look as if sin i did commit for even as a child i have seen lives of men been take away i have seen child ma age been thrown into slavery some been thrown overboard ships for their bones were weak and movement caused them pain, noone to help them but the sailors hands that swings them overboard. even as i child i dreamt of this day, a day when the cry of freedom shall be heard across the land written by $oulchild |

This page is as empty as my head, I will fill it with the books I have read. When I was young I read everything that I could, From Robinson Crusoe on to Robin Hood. I read about Cowboys and the Last of the Mohicans, The Water Babies and Marc Twain the American. I went on to higher realms Shakespeare, Blake and Shelley. Sometimes I was so immersed that I quivered like jelly. Then I was introduced to the Bible New Testament and Old, I was so fascinated at all of the stories being told. Genesis the first chapter in the book told of the beginning. I read all of the stories my head was soon spinning. David the wisest King of all the Jews, Wrote the book of Psalms it was something new. Other books then came my way I read them all. History that told of the Roman’s rise and fall. Now I read Newspapers and very much verse, I take from my computer poems to rehearse. Occasionally I still read a book or two I am a man that likes reading, How about you? |

Always wish for you … The moon is here again, With that silvery glow of endless July, She washes every in her path, Lights casting mystic circles of radiance on lakes and seas, As blue as a dreams nested with specks of reflections, Waters sleeping under a hazy sky, Gray and blue all at once … On a distant hill loons cry, Sharp shrills breaking into the still air, Their voices like loss, Faintly I see the outlines, Venus in the darkening sky, Star light … star bright, Wish I may … wish I might, In these dreams, I always wish for you … |

Love leaves, Frozen, wintry laughter, Wrought, false and dry, Golden amulets of teardrops, Crisp and cold, Break down in minuscules And run runnel, flitting the scape, Down the napes into capes, Cleft between sadness and joy, Threnodies and carols, A silent bleeding, For at first crack, The reindeers trudge on home, And tonight, love leaves, |

Missing you… Every night is the same, The world is still, Held in place by memories The moon… The stars… Your smile… Moments forever cherished, Fill this room, And I miss you even more! |
