Doctors do make mistakes too, they are not perfect
We make posts on nairaland and modify to make corrections
We use white outs / liquid paper to correct what we write
those mistakes could mean fatality when done by a doctor
He is only human
ten times the normal dosage is one mistake nine times too many.

We all make mistakes

He didn't kill the man deliberately

No one is denying the fact that he is human. You need to come up with a better argument than that. There's no room for that sort of mistake in his profession. He gave Gray not one, not two, not three, but ten times the correct amount of diamorphine. Even one, two or three is terrible, as accuracy is crucial here. We're talking about people's lives and you're comparing his deadly mistake to adding excess salt, oil or water to food. What the heck?! Any so-called Doctor who is incompetent and/or confused, as he was, should either seek more education or get out of the profession.

You can't use someone's Bleep up to enrich yourself. The same way you can't copy someone else's work without his permission. The naija doc has a copy right to his Bleep up. The German author needed his permission to mention him in his book. If the naija doc was white, he would win the case.

In the developed world, things work differently. Everyone has right. Even a terrorist. So the German author erred. As long as his work is not for academic purposes, he owes the naija doc royalties of some sort for using him in his book. Funny but true, in most cases.

Are you joking? Where are you getting that from? When it involves a public service that somebody indiscriminately abused yet you are saying he has a right not to be mentioned in a book. There is no law anywhere in the world that says so.

How could a doctor do such mistake? Maybe he thought he was working in Nigeria where they treat patients like guinea pigs. Waiting to see if Dr Ubani will be able to win this case. Clueless and shameless man.

Mistakes happen and they are not deliberate.

We only pray that they are not fatal.

Unfortunately in this case it was.

It has nothing to do with incompetence.

Especially when they are a one off thing.

Go Doctor!

That's Criminal Libel (for the nonlawyers)!

According to Sc 145 and 167 of the Evidence Act 2011, the Law presumes that a man intends the Natural consequence of his actions.

The facts of this case are similar to that of Dil V. R. (Aguda, Law of Evidence)

The Author probably meant to rubbish the doctors reputation or he would have gotten his facts right!

Conclusion: The Author is Liable for the tort of defamation!

Therefore, Law students in the house,
http:// will make a nice addition to your portfolio
