Generalization. Where is your proof.

When you say met, are you trying to imply that Somali's don't have access to the internet where they can simply push a button and poof, a Fulani pops up on their screen.

Do you have to meet someone in this day an age to know what they generally look like?

This is an American conjecture. People of mixed heritage around the world are generally not considered black because the term as race implies is used mostly in the US.

No, its the brain wash that came into play as soon as you accepted the 19th century mainstream scientific classification of "race" which ostensibly placed your people on a higher racial hierarchy above other Africans based on how close your features were to the race of people on the top of the pyramid. You are simply perpetuating that ideology and will do everything necessary to hold on to that fallacy.

FREE YOUR MIND!!

I have never met a fulani, and 99 percent of Somalis have not. Since the majority of Somalis are in the Horn of Africa.

My point is People like to categorize things, this is the reason why many label Somalis/Ethiopians/Eritreans as Horner or Horn Africans or Cushitic etc.

I like to believe that the fufu nation, is a more mildly retaaaarded distant relative of the human race.

So the logic now becomes because you have met Bantu people in person you have some sort of right to call them "bantu"

You have to wonder who constructed the term Bantu in the first place. It most definitely weren't the people themselves so again you adopt a term associated with classifications that have nothing to do with how the people see themselves and adopt a linguistic classification but want us to accept how you categorize yourself as non-black, non bantu.

you are all over the place.

Let me get his straight, you can categorize other non Somali tribes as Bantu but I can't categorize you as black. Something really wrong with that don't you think

There are on distance relatives of human beings left on the planet unless of course you count yourself who surely exhibits traits of a Homo sapien idaltu.

And yes, there isn't anything like a Bantu look. An East African Bantu may look Nilotic. Southern African Bantus are on the average lighter than Bantus from farther north.
the light skin tone of South africans is as a result of the admixture btw them and the khoi.

I personally have never seen light-complexioned Nilotic people......They seem to be the darkest people in Africa and very possibly the World (though the Jarawa and pure-Blooded Hausa give them a run for their money).

they exist but small in number. but this is not light to a lot of blacks

and it's not just the skin tone it's their features & body

nobody's saying that. Here in nigeria you find individuals who are yellow complexioned, but its not that rampant. Take mandela for example, he's xhosa(which is bantu) but at first sight you would guess his khoi. The same phenomenom apllies with his children and other contemporary bantu south africans, they've tampered with their racial identity, its like mixing with an arab or european. The khois are a race of their own.

First of, I am speaking from personal experience. There is no bantu or Nilotic look! Both are very diverse, some dark some light. The Nilotes are so diverse they can are even classified further, you have river lake Nilotes, highland Nilotes and plain Nilotes. By the way, how many of you here live in Africa? I am getting a vibe that most of you guys knowledge about Africa is off the internet, so out of touch with reality.

yes of course their is variation but for the most part you can tell if some one is from south Sudan (majority of nilotics) because they look different from most niger-congo groups like you can tell someone is from Somalia or is a Khoisan.

but anyway here is a diverse look at the nilo Saharans/nilotics

Proof? Light skin such as those found in the Khoi are built-in diversity due to them being adapted to the Mediterranean like climate in Southern Africa. It depends how you describe "admixture", because "light skin" in Bantu South Africans like the Xhosa is not solely due to admixture with Europeans, but for the most part admixture with Khoi people, who the Bantu's absorbed. Khoi people who are the most "African" people in Africa.

Errh, i was referring to the khoi. Dunno what you mean by "most african people in africa", but i understand that khois are racially as distinct to bantus as europeans are.

You said this:
"the light skin tone of South africans is as a result of the admixture btw them and the khoi."

If you're talking about Khoi people admixed then your incorrect. Khoi are racially distant from Bantus are Europeans are! Where are you getting this from! BOTH Khoi people and Bantu people are GENETICALLY AFRICAN. Its just that some African groups are more closely or not so closely related to each other i.e both Khoi and Bantu's, but BOTH repeat BOTH are African.

What I mean as in "most African" is that the Khoi people(and Hadza people) carry some of the oldest African linage, thus making them the oldest African population i.e "most African".

This is nonsense, if we did absorb Khoisan they wouldn't exist anymore, the truth is we are the purest Africans, Bantu hardly mixed with others, this is why despite spreading all over the continent and dominating the conquered territories, the indigenous populations still exist

Example baka/kwa (pygmies)
In Cameroon the Pygmies are still there I don't Bantu getting married with them or mixing to the point they can change our genes pool. And if we are not mixing that much today I doubt it was the case back them

In Rwanda same thing with twa I don't see Hutu and Tutsi mixing with twa not now and not ever

Same thing with our brothers in the southern part, what's the population of khoi in the first place? One really has to b dumb to conclude that LS southern bantu are light/lighter because of mixing with khoi, so who did the khoi mix with ? I guess no one right? So you never thought that maybe since we are living in the same geographical area and are under the same climatic conditions we start "looking like them" (whatever that means) like said what is and was the khoi population for Bantu to heavily mix with them ( like some people on this forum love to say) and they still exist as a single group? The few occurrences of a Bantu b it male or females ( very rare) having offspring with a khoi can not and will never b applied on the whole Bantu race. Period the mixed Bantu do not even represent 1/10 talk less about 1/2 yet we are made to believe that somewhat southern Bantu are mixed with khoi

No, the Bantu specialist ( not Bantu it needs to precised) will tell you the contrary . trying to give a specific look or feature to the largest African population. It is obvious that the fact Bantu live in different locations with various climates, they will adapt differently .

Do Japanese look like Chinese? They all Asian no?

Mandela is tall
And I doubt you even know a large number of Xhosa for you to say he doesn't look Xhosa , how many Xhosa do you know?
The contemporary Bantu have tempered with their identity lol you are out of your mind . individual mixing cases(when they exist) can't or are not enough to change the general population , don't give that your nonsense. The Bantu migration esp in southern Africa is well recorded, the khoi were pushed deeper in the Kalahari desert. EOD there were no mass mixing or whatever you guys are dreaming about

There are semi-Bantus in Nigeria like the Tiv, but they are not considered full Bantu. What is your take on Bantu/Semi-Bantu groups? Where does the divergence of "semi-Bantu" occur?

Effik
Anang
Ibibio
Are Bantu
I will even also list the Igbo

The people listed above all interacted more with central Africa Prete colonial area , if it wasn't for western imperialism those people would never had link with Yoruba Hausa or Fulani ,no link with west Africans

Check Around confederacy
Check calabar kingdon
They all expanded towards Cameroon, they all were linked with Cameroon .

As for me the term semi Bantu is rubbish, it is not like their other sides( the semi) disappeared , so they are semi with what or who? As far I'm concerned one is as Bantu as x group when he's mixed. Now from what I learned in school the so called semi Bantu are called like this because their languages have Bantu patterns but not completely. They were kinda colonized by Bantu but also retained big part of their own stuffs

This whole post reeks of pseudo-science. If anything the Bantu "race" would be considered one of the more recent in Africa. I doubt Bantu's are more "pure" than the Khoisan or Hadza in Africa.

And trying to deny the Khoisan admixture is flawed.

INTENSE ADMIXTURE: KHOISAN CLICKS AND KHOISAN GENES IN SOUTHEASTERN BANTU
http://anthropogenesis.kinshipstudies.org/2012/09/intense-admixture-khoisan-clicks-and-khoisan-genes-in-zambia-bantu/

And saying a the Bantu's and Khoisan did not mix, because the Khoisan are still here is the most ridiculous thing ever. Nor does it dismiss the genetic influence. That's like saying Blacks in the diaspora have no European admixture, due to Europeans and blacks still being existent in America. The indignous population can STILL exist, but with a significant amount of them getting assimilated/absorbed into the dominate culture(Bantu).
