At birth, my cries warmed their faces
My smiles gave them boundless joy
Charm was sublime
Seasons rind in orgies of righteous love
Kisses and tender touches I couldn't evade
My cheeks ran red to every gesture made
All I did was cackle away my worries
soulful were my tears; I was God's own dove

As I grew older in splendor and grace
I began to speak, I became bold
I became zetetic; the truth came sitting on life's prime
My beautiful imperfection began to surface
I tried so hard to cope, searched so desperately
For the innocence and chastity I once exuded
For the affection that once courted my heart
For the perfection which brought satisfaction and assurance
to those old rugged faces, who now stroke
harshly with their cursed words,
rendering the dark shores of my pain
and causing the salt of a beautiful soul to turn sour.

Sometimes I feel like a wandering infidel,
a covetous braggart with the restless spirit of a wolf
chasing shadows of detachment, trickery
and shame, bringing all vile vices into the light
that I may embrace the sorrow of soft arid noon
Yelling vaunt cries,  screaming
Lost! ooh Lost!!...Am lost
seeking anodyne to soothe my malady
Aloin to purge me of my troubles
How marvelous of beauty; so fickle, deceitful and sly
